[Blue Green City] Exchange of dialogues to develop Action Plans

Between 5 and 7 October 2020, Blue Green City partners attended the third online meeting organised by the lead partner, Metropolis Nice Côte d’Azur, to exchange dialogue to develop the first ideas, topics and concepts to be included in the regional action plans and to highlight the importance of the involvement of local and regional stakeholders in this process.

On the first two days of the meeting, the partners held presentations presenting the opportunities and common challenges (also related to the COVID-19 pandemic) they face in developing action plans, reviewing and involving regional meetings with stakeholders, and practical ways to overcome difficulties through cooperation and exchange of expertise and good practices.

The presentations were an excellent opportunity to inform about new projects and initiatives on BGI and Nature Based Solutions (NBS) and synergies between Blue Green City and other projects such as Nature 4 City Life (France) or LOS_DAMA! (Italy).

On the last day of the meeting, experts from the Piedmont region held an interesting presentation on the creation of the working methodology for the purpose of implementing the best practice workshop and policy changes that will be held during the current project implementation period until the end of this year.

This document will be a useful tool for the exchange of knowledge on best practices, and the exchange of ideas and proposals on opportunities and obstacles in the development of regional action plans. Based on the presentations of the partners during the second online meeting, the Italian partners provided valuable input on the key points to be discussed at the upcoming workshop.

The publication can also be found on the project’s official website: link.

LO.PA_.Z.-plus-logo-600x145

Since May 2018, projects related to the work of county local employment partnerships have been implemented in all counties of the Republic of Croatia, since a call for proposals for this purpose was published under the European Social Fund. The aim was to develop activities that will enable the vulnerable target group to receive training through new skills and knowledge for the labour market and enable its members to function sustainably. Thus, the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. submitted the project ‘Local Partnership for Employment of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County – LO.PA.Z. PLUS’ and participated in the implementation of the project activities ending in mid-November this year.

As provided for in the LPZ Cooperation Agreement, each LPZ will host once a year a meeting of the LPZ network, which will form the basis for better communication and exchange of information and the setting up of proposals for action and funding in the future programming period.

The above-mentioned LPZ Cooperation Agreement and proposals on the future of LPZs will be presented to the members at the session of the LPZ PGŽ in Rijeka, at the address RRA Porin, on Wednesday, 30 September 2020.
