Between 2 and 3 November 2020, Blue Green City partners attended the fourth online meeting or virtual workshop organised by the Italian partner Regione Piemonte, starting from the thematic concepts identified during the previous online partnership meeting held between 5 and 7 October. The project partners dealt with the following topics at the workshop: multifunctionality of GBI and its application, ecosystem services (analysis and management), improving awareness of GBI values through education and workshops, and facilitating or introducing a new management mode in the GBI domain.
The virtual workshop marked the beginning of the interregional process of mutual learning in terms of exchange of best practices and experiences, which is the basis for the development of actions and guidelines that will be included in the regional Action Plans. Through presentations and discussions held during thematic sessions, the partners tried to illustrate ways of portability through the exchange of examples of good practices in order to encourage the creation and application of similar practices in other regions, and changed and emphasized areas within the GBI domain that they believe need to be further deepened through examples and solutions offered by other partners, all in the context of improving the mutual learning process and facilitating the exchange of knowledge within the project.
