[Blue Green City] The second online partner meeting was held

On 10 September 2020, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis/Euromed Cities Network organised a project meeting as part of the Blue Green City project. The meeting took place virtually, in line with COVID-19 safeguards.

The main topic discussed during this meeting was the organisation of a study visit to be held in Turin-Italy between 23 and 25 March 2020. Given the international context and the adoption of restrictive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and in order to ensure the proper implementation of the project and the fulfilment of the planned activities, the Blue Green City project partnership decided to postpone this event until further notice.

Between 5 and 7 October 2020, the partnership will instead organise an online event, focusing on the experience-sharing process, the exchange of best practices identified by each partner and the development of the first action ideas to be included in the regional action plans.

The publication can also be found on the project’s official website: link.

LO.PA_.Z.-plus-logo-600x145

A brief analysis of the output of the project indicators LO.PA.Z. PLUS, which is an important part of the output of the set project results, shows that the achieved indicators have exceeded the already set. As an indicator, the project aimed to bring together 85 long-term unemployed people up to 29 years of age with more than six months of unemployment and over 29 years of age with more than one year of unemployment. Therefore, 85 more skilled, competent and trained participants of vulnerable groups were expected to be ready for the labour market and 40 people to start their own business through self-employment and 20 new employees with employers. These indicators are monitored as an achievement from the Operational Programme Efficient Human Resources and the implementation of the Human Resources Development Strategy of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County 2015-2020. The indicators are the result of the implementation of project activities called Labour Market Interventions and Encouraging Entrepreneurship.
