Summary

The call for proposals will be implemented under the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, Priority 3 "Business Competitiveness"; Investment priority 3d "Supporting the creation of the capacity of SMEs to engage in the growth process in regional, national and international markets and innovation processes"; Specific Objective 3d1 "Improved development and growth of SMEs in domestic and foreign markets".

Call "Quality Characteristics", Reference: KK.03.2.1.11., is intended for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with the aim of obtaining quality signs to increase their competitiveness and contribute to increasing the recognition of Croatian products and services on the open market.

The aim of the Call is to increase the recognition of the quality of services and products of SMEs, which will ensure the preconditions for increasing sales revenues, exports and overall competitiveness and consequently, contribute to the creation of the Croatian identity on the common and global market.

The awarded grants will co-finance, through vouchers, project activities related to the exercise of the right to use the following quality marks:

– "Croatian quality"

– ‘Original Croatian’

– ‘Traditional crafts’,

– ‘Artistic crafts’.

The voucher may be awarded for the acquisition of a sign(s) by an eligible service provider:

– Croatian Chamber of Commerce

– Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts

Eligible applicants: Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises

Total allocation: 7.500.000,00 HRK

Types of aid: De minimis aid

Available funds per applicant (min. - max. amount):

The maximum value of the voucher, i.e. the maximum grant amount that can be awarded to a particular project, is HRK 75,000.00.

Aid intensity: up to 100% eligible costs.

Grants will be awarded through a permanently open Call with a deadline for submission of project proposals from 10 September 2018 from 11 a.m. to 29 June 2020, i.e. until the available funds are used, in the total value of HRK 7 500 000.00.   

 Project proposals are submitted electronically, through the system eFunds.

Inquiries received at other addresses will not be taken into account, nor will the answers to such questions be published in the manner prescribed by the rules of the Call.

Summary

This Call will co-finance product certification. The increased use of harmonised European standards, i.e. the implementation of the conformity assessment procedures for products required by Community harmonisation legislation (CE marking, EU declaration of conformity ), together with a reliable technological solution, will help to ensure that SMEs have the preconditions to increase exports and overall competitiveness by demonstrating the quality, safety and reliability of their products.

Eligible applicants: micro, small and medium-sized enterprises

Total allocation: 30,000,000,00 HRK

Minimum grant amount: 20.000,00 HRK

Maximum grant amount: 1.000.000,00 HRK

Subject matter of the call

Providing support for product certification, i.e. the process of assessing the conformity of a product with a specific standard or specification (in accordance with EU and other countries directives and relevant standards referred to by directives) including carrying out the conformity assessment procedure.

Purpose(s) of the Call

By increasing the use of standards, together with a reliable technological solution, contribute to the activities of SMEs to ensure the preconditions for increasing exports and overall competitiveness by demonstrating the quality, safety and reliability of their products. Supporting the uptake and application of European and internationally (globally) recognised standards helps SMEs reap the benefits of using standards to gain access to new markets.

We inform potential applicants that the method of submitting project applications in the eFondovi system has changed.

Prior to submission, the project application must be placed in the ‘Fit for Send’ status, with all checks on the Application Form being carried out. The described functionality was introduced in order to carry out checks earlier and relieve the eFondovi system when submitting project applications.

The ‘Submit’ action button has been moved to the applicant’s homepage and will be visible only to the Authorised Person after the ‘Save for Send’ action has been selected after filling in the application form.

The submission process is described in detail in the User Manual for Applicants available on the public part of the portal eFunds and on your user interface.

Enhancing CAPACITY FOR RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION

KK.01.1.1.07

  • Purpose(s) of the call 

Focus research in thematic and sub-thematic priority areas of the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Republic of Croatia for the period from 2016 to 2020 (S3) on the needs of the economy by supporting research, development and innovation projects of research organisations in cooperation with the business sector.

 

  • Total resources available

The total available grant amount for this Call is HRK 180 894 788.00.

 

  • Available funds per applicant

The maximum grant amount that can be awarded to a particular project is HRK 6,800,000.00.

 

  • Projected aid intensity

Grants awarded to applicants (scientific organisations) do not constitute State aid.

The salaries of existing employees of the applicant cannot be funded by a grant. They should make at least 15% of the total eligible costs relating to the applicant. Out of the total eligible costs relating to the applicant, the grant shall not exceed 85%.

Grants awarded to partners in this Call constitute State aid.

Eligible applicants are scientific organisations registered in the Register of Scientific Organisations maintained by the Ministry of Science and Education and meeting the criteria for a research organisation defined by the Community Framework for State aid for research and development and innovation (2014/C 198/01).

The eligible counterparts shall be micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in accordance with the conditions set out in Annex I of Regulation 651/2014 and Regulation 1084/2017 or a large enterprise not fulfilling the conditions set out in Annex I.

 

  • Eligible activities

Eligible actions that can be funded under this Call are:

1. Perform applied research (through the industrial research and/or experimental development phase) in selected sub-thematic priority areas (PTPP) S3 or horizontal topics with mandatory impact on one or more PTPPs
2. Recruitment of researchers for the purpose of implementing the research activities of the project
3. Dissemination of research results and dissemination of knowledge (e.g. publishing of scientific papers, lectures at symposia, professional conferences, etc.)
4. Market analysis and development of a feasibility study and/or strategy (study, plan) for product development and development of a study of verification and protection of intellectual property of project results
5. Activities related to knowledge and technology transfer (e.g. exploitation of intellectual property rights arising from the project, licensing, establishment of new companies, etc.)
6. Project management (implementation of administrative contractual obligations in project implementation such as: reporting, project documentation management, financial management, implementation of procurement procedures, risk management, etc.)
7. Project visibility activities (e.g. creation of a website, presentation of the project through professional conferences, scientists, media, presentation of the project at trade fairs, etc.)
8. Activities related to the promotion of horizontal principles
9. Networking and training activity (participation in seminars, conferences, workshops) related to project implementation
10. Project audit – Mandatory action

The project is being implemented on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

Grants will be awarded through an open procedure in the modalities of the Interim Call. The deadline for submitting project proposals is 60 calendar days from the date of publication of the Call on the central website of the Structural Funds and the eFondovi public portal, i.e. from 3 May 2018 to 2 July 2018.

The project proposal shall be submitted via the eFondovi system in electronic format.

Summary

This Call will co-finance the introduction of recognised business process and quality management systems in line with the requirements of internationally accepted standards or market-recognised certification schemes, which will contribute to facilitate access to markets and increase the competitiveness of SMEs. With the increasing globalisation of markets, internationally accepted standards and/or recognised certification schemes and related labels have become essential for international trade as they entail meeting standards of recognised levels of quality and security in the exchange of goods and services.

 

Eligible applicants: micro, small and medium-sized enterprises

Total allocation: 38,000,000,00 HRK

Minimum grant amount: HRK 50,000.00

Maximum grant amount: 380.000,00 HRK

Subject of the call: Support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to increase their competitiveness in the market by introducing recognised business process and quality management systems, applying standards and , certification in accordance with the requirements of internationally accepted standards or market-recognised certification schemes.

Purpose(s) of the call: Achieving the applicable level of standards of internationally recognised quality and safety levels in the exchange of goods and services by increasing the use of recognised standards that contribute to customer confidence, in particular in the areas of improving the quality of management systems and increasing the capacity to demonstrate the quality of systems, thereby facilitating SMEs' access to foreign markets and increasing competitiveness.

Date of commencement of receipt of project applications: 14.05.2018.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! (11 May 2018)

 

The Ministry of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts has published the first amendment to the Call for Proposals ‘Implementation of business process and quality management systems (ISO and similar standards)’, reference number KK.03.2.1.14, which, among other things, changes the start of receipt of project proposals from 14 May 2018 at 09:00 a.m. 11 June 2018 at 11 a.m..

Except for minor technical changes in Annex 3. The grant award procedure has amended the provisions of the Quality Assessment Criteria in the section ‘Project contribution to solving specific development problems in a given territory’. Corresponding changes have been made to the Instructions for Applicants, Annex 13 has been supplemented. Instructions for filling in the Application Form and the Summary of the Call has been amended.

The previous version of the documentation with today's date ceases to be valid.
