Step Ri calls on small and medium-sized manufacturing companies to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the service development programme

Rijeka, 4 February – The University of Rijeka’s Step Ri Science and Technology Park has launched a public call for expressions of interest to participate in the 6-month programme of interactive workshops, education and counselling focused on the development of services in manufacturing companies.

The program is intended for small and medium-sized enterprises that want to complement their offer with innovative services and raise the value of their products, which can result in higher income, lower business risk, more favorable cost structure, higher offer value and entering new markets.

The small and medium-sized enterprises participating in the programme will:

  • have expert support in developing new services
  • undergo a structured and clearly defined programme of workshops, education and counselling;
  • develop new services that will be a supplement or complete substitute to the existing product offering
  • improve your business with the use of your own human resources, in a short period of time and with minimal investments and additional costs.

Participation in the programme is free of charge, i.e. companies will receive non-financial (de minimis) aid worth HRK 19,200 per company, and the number of participants is limited.

Companies wishing to participate are expected to:

  • participation of a team of experienced employees (minimum 2 persons);
  • a high level of engagement of team members with the support of high management during the execution of the program;
  • integration of the newly created offer (combinations of existing products and newly created services) into the existing business and its commercialization in domestic and foreign markets.

Program lasting from 6 months will be implemented April-September 2019 within the THINGS+ project co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Central Europe programme.
