3rd Project Team Partnership Meeting Held

The third partnership meeting of the project team for the EU project Reconstruction and conversion of the existing Hall 14 into a Technological and Educational Entrepreneurial Incubator Torpedo Production Park was held on 28 December 2017 in the premises of the City of Rijeka. The main item on the agenda of the meeting was the presentation of the Implementation Project for Hall 14, in accordance with the conducted public procurement procedure and the invitation to submit tenders for the development of the implementation project Reconstruction and conversion of the existing Hall 14 into a Technological and Educational Entrepreneurial Incubator Production Park Torpedo. The company MF Arhitekti d.o.o. from Rijeka was chosen as the service provider. Thus, Mr Marko Franković presented the detailed implementation project in question to the members of the project team according to the documentation provided, which consists of the Book of Implementation Projects for the Architectural Project, the construction project relating to the construction and design of plumbing and sewerage, electrical and thermotechnical installations and the cost statement of works. Also, the documentation for the public procurement and the call for works for the reconstruction and conversion of Hale 14 and supervision for the works planned to be published in early 2018 after the CFCA has reviewed it. Other items on the agenda concerned comments for the first progress report on the project and future activities.

[PoWER] The implementation of the project Power (Ports as Entrepreneurial Realm) from the Interreg Adrion transnational cooperation programme has started

On 1 January 2018, the implementation of the project Power (Ports as Entrepreneurial Realm) from the Interreg Adrion transnational cooperation programme began.

Lead partner of the project is the National Research Council Construction Technologies Institute (Italy) and other partners are CNA (Italy), Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. (Croatia), CERTH (Greece), CCI THESPROT IA (Greece), FEP (Serbia), CDI (Albania), Municipality of Durres (Albania) and CETEOR doo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). An associate partner from Croatia is the City of Rijeka.

Objective of the project PoWER supports the transformation of ports into innovative hubs that are tasked with exploiting their entrepreneurial potential as efficiently as possible. Within the project, a total of 6 case studies (six ports) will be processed, through an original approach that includes an analysis of the potential for EE and RES, improvement of IT solutions, etc.

Project outputs are:

  • Unique PoWER methodology to accelerate collaboration between companies and research institutions
  • Establishment of the Innovation Hubs Network (IHN)
  • IHN strategy for the evolution of ports into innovative habs that will be supported by the ICT platform

The project is being implemented in the period 01/01/2018 – 31/12/2019.

2nd Project Team Partnership Meeting Held

On 11 December 2017, the second partnership meeting of the project team for the EU project Reconstruction and conversion of the existing Hall 14 into a Technological and Educational Entrepreneurial Incubator of the Torpedo Production Park was held. Prior to the start of the agenda items, Ernest Cukrov first paid tribute to the recently deceased project manager, Mr Andrija Vitezić. He then proceeded to present the planned agenda. Vlasta Linić stated that the Mayor appointed her as project manager. Doris Sošić presented the content of the implemented activities that were included in the first progress report on the project after the end of the first quarter of project implementation, i.e. from 1 October to 24 November 2017. Vlasta Linić pointed out the upcoming project activities for the period of the second quarter, i.e. from 25 November 2017 to 24 February 2018. The preparation of the documentation for the publication of the call for works on the reconstruction and conversion of the existing Hale 14 facility, the works of which are planned at the beginning of next year, will be of great importance.
