On Friday, 17 September 2021, starting at 2.30 p.m. We will hold Torpedo Days event at the Torpedo Production Park at Milutina Barača 60/I. floor, conference room. We organize the event with the City of Rijeka, the Department of Entrepreneurship and the Centre of the City Administration Europe Direct Rijeka.
Torpedo Days is an event that highlights the promotion of new technologies, and theme is merging new technologies with different industries. The participants of the event are representatives of universities, the public and the private sector who will have the opportunity to present their thoughts in view of the needs and opportunities of development through the application of new technologies. That is why the Torpedo Production Park is a great place for such a discussion where the development and application of additive technologies is encouraged.

At the end of the panel, at 4 p.m., we will sign Cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Rijeka and visit the Torpedo Production Park. It is scheduled to be completed at 5 p.m. and will be preceded by reception.

It is located in Korzo, Rijeka, 10 August 2021. Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka opened the exhibition Flows (Fluxes) dedicated to cultural heritage related to the port of Rijeka as part of the project TEMPUS.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exhibition was originally published in a virtual version on the website in February this year. http://www.myportheritage.eu, and until 24 August 2021, the public can see it in physical form on the posts of the City of Rijeka on the Rijeka Korzo.
The exhibition highlights the historical aspect of the development of the port of Rijeka and its impact through various epochs on its surroundings, and visitors will gain knowledge about commercial, production and leisure activities that characterized the life of the port. With this exhibition, we want to inspire entrepreneurs, cultural organizations and other eligible participants to recognize the economic potential of cultural heritage and realize their entrepreneurial ideas by connecting the past and the present. Thus, all those who want to implement their existing or new entrepreneurial ideas into life and thus contribute to the economic development of the city of Rijeka and enrich year-round tourism can apply for an open call. We remind you that as a partner of the TEMPUS project, on 21 July 2021, we launched an open call for collecting ideas related to the heritage of the port of Rijeka, which is connected to the aforementioned exhibition.
On 27 July 2021, the partners of the Blue Green City project attended the 10th online meeting organised by the lead partner – Metropolis Nice Côte d’Azur.
The meeting dealt with the preparation of draft regional Action Plans for the development and improvement of local/regional policy instruments and strategies in the implementation of the concepts of blue and green infrastructure, and the project partners individually presented the progress so far in defining the action guidelines with the aim of presenting the first draft Action Plans in September 2021.
For the smooth running of this activity, the partners had the support and expertise of an Italian partner – Regione Piemonte and an English partner – of the University of Greenwich.

On 13 July 2021, RRA Porin, as a Blue Green City project partner, organised the 4th stakeholder meeting in Rijeka in the form of an event – a small conference of up to 20 people in line with Covid-19 restrictions, followed by a discussion.
During the part of the conference, the representative of RRA Porin presented the Interreg Europe Blue Green City project and the detected problems in the green infrastructure of the Rijeka region, while from the City Department for Development, Urbanism, Ecology and Land Management, the Director of the Directorate for Development, Urbanism and Ecology presented the Green Infrastructure of the City of Rijeka, in order to encourage further discussion on how to improve the planning and implementation of green and blue infrastructure (BGI) in the City of Rijeka.
The discussion focused primarily on the improvement of urban blue and green infrastructure, in order to examine the possibilities of efficient planning and linking of green infrastructure at the strategic, spatial-planning, implementation and financial level of the city of Rijeka with the key issue of recognizing the importance of implementing the concept of green infrastructure in order to strengthen resilience and adaptation to climate change in urban areas and as a carrier of the identity of space that contributes to the development of the economy and society as a whole.
During the meeting, RRA Porin also conducted a survey through a short questionnaire to collect information from key stakeholders on the understanding of the concept of green and blue infrastructure and knowledge of relevant existing local documents for the development and implementation of BGI, as well as to examine the interest in encouraging cross-sectoral cooperation or initiatives to establish a working group that would include all stakeholders in the field of the establishment, planning and implementation of green urban infrastructure.
Prior to the fourth stakeholder meeting, RRA Porin organised the 3rd stakeholder meeting in January 2021 in the form of a one-on-one telephone call (in accordance with the measures and restrictions due to Covid-19 at the time) with representatives of the Department of Development, Urbanism, Ecology and Land Management of the City of Rijeka to discuss the recent Study of Green Infrastructure of the City of Rijeka, as an expert basis representing an integral form of viewing open spaces and the basis for the development of the Green Infrastructure Strategy of the City of Rijeka, with the aim of sustainable development of the city space that recognizes and gives importance to green and open spaces and their numerous functions (ecological, social, economic, protective and urban morphological).
