Do you know what a hackathon is? Have you heard of the Koprivnica hackathon competition – CODEFEST?

 

Following the example of a successful last year's CODEFEST Koprivnica entrepreneur d.o.o., the company that manages the Entrepreneurial Incubator Koprivnica is organizing this year 2nd hackathon competition It brings together young developers, students and high school students who will solve problems and challenges through programming. Since the topic of the competition is related to energy and innovative energy solutions, RWE Croatia participates as a supporter and local partner of this event.

 

WHAT: ENERGY CODEFEST in Koprivnica with the theme innovative energy solutions

WHO: Young developers, students and high school students

PLACE AND TIME OF THE WORK: Youth home Koprivnica, Ul. Croatian Statehood 10. Koprivnica, Friday, May 19th, starting at 4 p.m.

WHY: accept the challenge, work in a team, offer an innovative solution to the task and win valuable prizes or signing the contract and continuing cooperation with RWE a well-known company in the energy sector.

Last year's CODEFEST was attended by 24 competitors, a total of 8 teams from Koprivnica, Križevci, Osijek, the surroundings of Zagreb and other parts of Croatia. This year, tasks are more complex, and expectations are much higher. If you are a programmer, developer, or simply interested in everything about IT and “find out” everything that has to do with your computer, accept the challenge and log in.

By participating in ENERGY CODEFEST you get experience, socializing with team members and other participants. In addition, you have the opportunity to connect with mentors and potential employers who will notice you, making it easier for you to enter the world of entrepreneurship.

NATIONAL INFO DAYS AND SPECIAL OPENING OF SUBJECT PROGRAMME ARRANGEMENTS CENTER AND DUBROVNIK OF THE COMMON SECRETARIAN PROGRAMME

Interreg Italy - Croatia is the new Cross-Border Cooperation Programme between the two countries in the period 2014-2020, worth EUR 237 million, of which EUR 201 million comes from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which makes it one of the most significant cross-border cooperation programmes in Europe in terms of financial endowment. The general objective of the Programme is to increase competitiveness and employment, preserve natural resources and manage cultural heritage, improve maritime and road transport links by promoting multimodality.

The first set of calls for proposals foresees an amount of EUR 78 million of ERDF made available to public and private organisations and institutions for the implementation of project activities contributing to the development of the programme area covering 8 Croatian counties and 25 Italian provinces. The Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, in cooperation with the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat of the Programme, is organizing national info days on the territory of the Republic of Croatia, which will be held in order to familiarize potential applicants with the content of the Programme and timely preparation for the application to the 1st Call for Proposals.

Currently, the Rijeka Development Agency Porin is conducting education "Preparation and implementation of EU projects"

Education "Preparation and implementation of EU projects" It is intended for all persons interested in the possibility of financing projects from EU funds. Participants are educated and trained on examples from the reference database of projects of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin and on concrete calls for project proposals available to companies and institutions in the Republic of Croatia. Examples include infrastructure projects, rural development projects, entrepreneurship and tourism development projects, culture, social inclusion, energy efficiency and research and development projects.

After completing the training for a period of 45 hours, the trainees will be able to independently prepare and submit the project to a public call for proposals and lead the project to which the competent authority grants funding. All attendees acquire certificate on attending training ‘Preparation and implementation of EU projects’, which, with the knowledge gained, opens the door to the world of EU funds.  The Rijeka Development Agency Porin leaves the doors open to the participants of education for each type of assistance and cooperation.
