Today, at 10 a.m., he is in front of the government building. The City of Rijeka, presented the first Rijeka electric vehicle produced by the Rijeka Development Agency Porin. Director of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin, Ernest Cukrov, officially handed over the car to the Mayor of the City of Rijeka, Vojko Obersnel, who also drove an electric vehicle around Korzo. Director of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin Ernest Cukrov pointed out that the electric car project was fully organized and carried out by the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., founded by the City of Rijeka. It is a conversion of a standard vehicle into an electric one that barely generates sound and does not pollute the environment. All installed components, except the electric motor, are designed and manufactured in the production incubator of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin. Mayor Vojko Obersnel pointed out that the commitment of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin to use new technologies and encourage the production of vehicles that use alternative energy sources is the right way, in line with the commitment of the City of Rijeka to use new technologies and reduce emissions of harmful gases. Rijeka utility companies already use electric vehicles and bicycles, there are 10 charging stations for electric cars in the city, so interest, as well as the need for electric vehicles in any case, exists.

Since during the project of electrification of cars a new company with two employees was created, the founder of the company, Teo Žikić, who gained experience by working for two years at the company Rimac, pointed out that this project was worked on for about a year and that a lot of effort and time was invested. After charging, the vehicle can travel about 100 km and is exceptionally suitable for urban driving. These cars have a future in the fleet of utility companies and private individuals who care about ecology. Car maintenance is quite simple, and the Skoda vehicle was used for this prototype. Practically, the conversion can be made with every vehicle purchased from the manufacturer without an installed engine. The conversion itself takes about a month. When it comes to the conversion of one car, the cost of the conversion ranges around 12,000 euros and pays off after 5-6 years, but if it were a series of conversions, the cost of the conversion would be much lower.

The team from the Rijeka Development Agency Porin points out that it is extremely proud of the project presented, since a lot of effort, energy and time have been invested to electrify the vehicle, train it for driving and thus realize the project itself. Since the mission of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin is to encourage entrepreneurship and encourage new ideas in order to open new companies and increase employment, we believe that we areFirst-Rijeka-Electric-Automobile First-Rijeka-Electric-Automobile-17 First-Rijeka-Electric-Automobile-19 First-Rijeka-Electric-Automobile-3Eject it and proved you successful in the mission.

The first electric car from Rijeka

Dana 09.05.2017. year, in 10 hours, at Korzo 16, the presentation of the first electric car in the City of Rijeka, produced in the production incubator of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin, will be held.

The Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., as a support institution that provides systematic support in the start-up and further development of economic entities in the City of Rijeka, with the aim of creating as many new entrepreneurs as possible and creating new employment, recognized the importance of developing new entrepreneurial ideas and financed the project of electrification of cars. All installed components (except electric motors) are designed and manufactured in the production incubator of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin. The electrification of the car took a little less than a year and a lot of effort was invested in it in order to eventually get a unique vehicle produced by our own forces in the business incubator of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin. The vehicle has a 60kw engine with water cooling and a range of 100 km. The battery capacity is 20 kwh with an integrated smart monitoring and control system and the battery capacity drops to 80 % after 100,000 km. The charging time with the integrated charger is 5 h while at the fast charging station is 1 h. The cost of electricity per 100 km is 7-10 kn at a lower tariff. The vehicle has a propulsion system without the need for maintenance. When transforming into an electric car, a new company with two employees was founded. The whole project was carried out in cooperation with the City of Rijeka through a system of incentives and support to new companies.
