NEW PORTAL FONDOVI.EU ANNOUNCEMENT FOR COMPETITION COMPETITIONS FROM THE NATIONAL OPERATION AND WASTE PLAN

The Government of the Republic of Croatia has published a new portal called EU funds, intended for the implementation of the tender from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026 of the precondition for the absorption of funds from the Recovery and Resilience Facility of the European Union. From now on, the publication of calls for project funding and project applications for all tenders will be possible through this portal.

Portal Fondovi.eu is an information system intended for recording, storing and processing data necessary for financial monitoring and monitoring of project implementation, whose main objective is to enable beneficiaries (legal and natural persons) to apply electronically to calls or submit project proposals to published calls.

The website contains basic information about the funds and programmes, detailed information about the calls published, including a link for direct application to the call via the Fundseu system, as well as a link "System login" which redirects the user to direct application to the Fundseu system via NIAS. The use of the Fundseu system (as well as all services in the e-Citizens system) can only be accessed through the NIAS system, using one of the credentials provided.

Newsletter on EU Programmes 2021 published 20-2027

Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds In cooperation with the policy authorities, work has started on the the Information Bulletin on Union Programmes in which it will inform all interested parties about the state of play of each programme;.

The coordination activities of the MRRFEU under the Union Programme shall strengthen the links between the policy bodies in charge of each Union Programme, foster the exchange of experience, open up opportunities for cooperation and the implementation of joint activities. The coordination of the monitoring of the Union Programme, in addition to the aggregation of data on the organisational structure, the use of an instrument, reporting and ensuring the availability of information, also aims to encourage as many potential beneficiaries as possible to engage and get acquainted with the opportunities offered by individual programmes. To this end, this information bulletin will also be published.

Union programmes represent an integrated set of activities adopted by the European Union in order to promote cooperation between Member States in various areas related to common EU policies, on which more information is available here .

InnoWise Scale

Call within the framework is open InnoWise Scale Project activities Water Scarcity intended entrepreneurs developing solutions in the context of tackling water scarcity in southern Europe.

EIT Food together with Climate KIC-om, Digital and Manufacturing KICs; Athena RC, Bioazul i TuDelft, lead a multi-annual and multidisciplinary programme designed to mitigating water scarcity in southern Europe, by working together to see water scarcity as a thematic field from agriculture to production.

Main objective of the programme Facilitate the transition to a water-saving economy across southern Europe and contribute to reducing European water consumption, waste and pollution in the long term. This is achieved by targeting different stakeholders, from policy makers to businesses, industry leaders and citizens through various actions.

Through Knowledge and Innovation Communities – KICs, the EIT is launching this call for start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs to support innovators in reaching the market with innovative solutions tackling water scarcity in Southern Europe.

InnoWise Scale activities are designed to enable agile water management in different sectors, optimise and harmonise water supply and demand, and foster climate change readiness while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, in particular in the Mediterranean region, namely Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain.

Forty applications will be selected to participate in InnoWise Scale activities, including:

• Market-oriented trainings and a 3-month mentoring period,

• Networking sessions with potential end-users

• Sectoral competitions, with the possibility of implementing a demo site at the end of the period with potential end-users in Southern European countries.

InnoWise Scale activities provide a unique opportunity. adapted to the real needs of specific sectors (through the involvement of the "problem-maker"). These market-oriented activities are intended to stimulate the market launch of advanced water-related technologies.

Eligible applicants are start-ups, scale-ups or SMEs that offer solutions to one of these sectoral challenges:

• Water management in manufacturing industries

• Water management in the food and beverage industry

• Water management in the agricultural sector

• Water management in water-communal activities and large infrastructures

Indian-Croatian startup challenge

Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO) i Startup India Organise a competition Indian-Croatian startup challenge in cooperation with partner companies Infobip, KONČAR and HexGn, supported Embassy of the Republic of India in Croatia.

After startup India-Croatia Startup Bridge, digital platforms designed to strengthen international cooperation and innovation environment and trade-economic cooperation between Croatia and India, HAMAG-BICRO and Startup India continue with activities designed to encourage cooperation between Indian and Croatian startups.

In this direction, they also designed a competition looking for innovative start-up solutions for three given challenges in the areas of sustainability, livelihoods, SDGs, green energy, education and skills development:

  • Clean water and better quality of life,
  • Reduced inequality and
  • Decent work and economic growth.

Participants of the Indian-Croatian startup challenge who offer the best solutions, can win cash prizes, mentoring, incubation and business solutions for growth. The total value of the prize pool is estimated at $43,000.00.

The partner companies of the Indian-Croatian startup challenge will provide the following benefits for the best solutions of Croatian and Indian startups that will participate in the competition:

  • Infobip will select up to 12 successful participants 3 best startup solutions and assign each of them An award in the form of products and services from Infobip worth a total of $10,000. Selected startup teams will receive the support of the Infobip team in order to make the most of the value of Infobip products for their growth.
  • KONČAR for the best startup solution to the challenge Decent work and economic growth provide a monetary reward in value 10.000,00 kn gross amount (~1.694 USD)
  • Hexgn will provide free scale up program worth $2,000 to each of the 12 successful participants (six from India and six from Croatia). The program will last 45 days twice a week.
