[OPTIONAL CALL] INTERREG ADRION transnational cooperation programme – first call for proposals launched

Adriatic-Ionian Transnational Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 (Interreg ADRION) is conceived as a new transnational programme that should contribute to the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic Region (EUSAIR) and serve as a driver for policy development and innovation that will accelerate European integration between member and non-member countries using the rich natural, cultural and human resources of the territories surrounding the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. The Programme shall take into account the experience of the 2007 Operational Programmes. 2013-2013, in particular SEE and IPA Adriatic, the areas of which overlap with those covered by Interreg ADRION. The programme covers 8 countries;

4 members of the European Union (Croatia, Italy, Greece, Slovenia) and 4 non-members (BiH, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro)

The Interreg ADRION thematic priorities are:

a) 1. Research – An innovative and smart region – promotes business investment in R&D, the development of links and synergies between businesses, research and development centres and the higher education sector;

b) 6. Environment – A sustainable region – encourages the conservation, protection, promotion, valorisation and development of natural and cultural heritage, biodiversity, water, soil, green and ecosystem services;

c) 7. Transport – Connected Region – promotes the development and improvement of environmentally friendly and low-carbon transport systems, including the development and improvement of inland waterways, maritime transport, ports, multimodal connections and airport infrastructure in order to promote sustainable regional and local mobility;

d) 11. Governance - Support to the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR).

The overall objective of the Interreg Adrion Transnational Cooperation Programme is to strengthen European integration among partner countries through innovative policies and management processes and to increase the economic, social and territorial cohesion of the Programme area by using rich natural, cultural and human resources in the Adriatic and Ionian Seas.

The Programming Document (Interreg V-B Adriatic-Ionian Cooperation Programme) adopted by the European Commission on 20 October 2015 is the legal basis for this call for proposals.

The new programme will contribute €83.5 million from the ERDF and €15.7 million from the IPA.

The program requires at least 3 partners from 3 countries with the applicant being from an EU member country, and the following beneficiaries are eligible:

– State, regional and local government

– All public authorities and organisations

– Private organisations operating for at least 2 years

– International organisations operating under the law of the Programme State for at least 2 years;

Projects may be submitted in the field of:

Innovation and Development

– Preservation of cultural and natural heritage

– Preservation of the environment

– Enhancing integrated and multimodal transport

The co-financing rate is up to 85% eligible project costs from min 800.000 € to max 1.500.000 €

Permanently open call for proposals from the Slovenia-Croatia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 published

The Slovenia-Croatia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme involves nine regions from Slovenia (the Pomurje Region, the Podravina Region, the Sava Region, the Zasavina Region, the Posavina Region, the Jugovzhodna Slovenia Region, the Osrednjeslovenska Region, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Region and the Coastal-Kraška Region) and eight counties from the Republic of Croatia (the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the Istrian County, the City of Zagreb, the Zagreb County, the Krapina-Zagorje County, the Varaždin County, the Međimurje County and the Karlovac County). The European Regional Development Fund provides an amount of EUR 33 087 636.00 for co-financing of projects. The Programme may only co-finance eligible costs, with the Union co-financing ERDF maximum 85 % of the total eligible costs; at least 15 % must be secured from other sources.

Subject this Open Call for Proposals is the co-financing of projects from the European Regional Development Fund that are in line with the following priority axes/investment priorities and related specific objectives:
Priority axis 2: Conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources
– Investment priority 6c: Conservation, protection, promotion and development of natural and cultural heritage
Specific objective: Active heritage conservation through sustainable tourism
– Investment priority 6d: Protecting and restoring biodiversity and soil and promoting ecosystem-related services, including through Natura 2000 and green infrastructure
Specific objective: Protecting and restoring biodiversity and promoting ecosystem services
Priority axis 3: Healthy, safe and accessible border areas
– Specific objective: Developing partnerships between public authorities and stakeholders for healthy, safe and accessible border areas

Eligible applicants are:

  • Local, regional or national public authorities (e.g. municipality, county…);
  • Non-profit organisations (private or public legal entities) active in the field of cultural or natural heritage, sustainable tourism development or related services (e.g. museums, Natura 2000 and managing bodies for protected areas, regional development agencies, tourist destination management organisations, NGOs, … associations);
  • Small and medium-sized enterprises.

Indicative annual plan for the 2016 call for proposals under the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014 20-2020

The Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, in its capacity as the Managing Authority for the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, publishes an indicative annual plan for the publication of calls for proposals for 2016 under the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, with the aim of informing the public and enabling the timely preparation of project proposals by potential applicants.

N.B.: the indicative annual plan for the publication of calls for proposals (PDPs) contains a list of PDPs and deadlines known at the time of drawing up the plan and is subject to amendments in accordance with the dynamics of the business processes of the institutions involved. The launch of the PDPs shall be subject to prior approval by the Monitoring Committee.

Public call for the collection of projects and project ideas for the purpose of drawing up the Local Development Strategy of the LAG "Terra liburna"

If you have projects or project ideas that can contribute to rural development in the ‘Terra liburna’ LAG area, which includes local self-government units: Mošćenička Draga, Lovran, Opatija, Matulji, Kastav, Klana, Viškovo and Jelenje, and that they are in line with the recommended goals, priorities and measures of rural development, please fill out the form in the annex, so that they become part of the Local Development Strategy (LRS) of the LAG for the period 2014-2020, and so that they can provide financing from the Rural Development Programme of the Republic of Croatia.

Your collected projects will become part of the development project base of the LAG’s Local Development Strategy ‘Terra liburna’ and a list of projects for financing, implementation and implementation will be created on the basis of the evaluation criteria. We hereby invite all interested parties to include their project and submit their project ideas.
