Applicants: Small and medium-sized enterprises
General objective is an extension of the tourist season and raising the competitiveness of SMEs in tourism and the development of a tourist destination through an increase in the quality and additional offer of hotels.
Purpose is to encourage initial investments related to the construction and equipping of new or reconstruction and equipping of existing buildings that will meet the minimum conditions and conditions for category 3, 4 or 5 stars of one of the following types of hospitality establishments from the group of hotels: hotel, aparthotel, tourist resort, heritage hotel or diffuse hotel , with the mandatory construction and/or realization of additional facilities that are not prescribed as mandatory in accordance with the applicable regulations from the hospitality and tourism, which will contribute to the prolongation of the tourist season and the attractiveness of the offer at the destination.
Investments in the construction and/or realization of additional contents of existing catering facilities from the group of hotels, types of: hotel, aparthotel, tourist resort, heritage hotel or diffuse hotel, category 3, 4 or 5 stars, which are not prescribed as mandatory in accordance with the applicable regulations from the hospitality and tourism industry, and which will contribute to the prolongation of the tourist season and the attractiveness of the offer at the destination, without or with investment in the renovation (maintenance) and equipping of the facilities in question, provided that the existing category is raised by at least one star.
Eligible applicants are legal or natural persons who are micro, small or medium-sized enterprises according to the definition of small and medium-sized enterprises as set out in Annex I. Definition of small and medium-sized enterprises Regulation 651/2014. Applicants must act individually. Partner organisations and partnerships of any kind shall not be eligible.
Eligible activities are:
1. investments in tangible assets
The investments relate to:
– the construction and equipping of new or reconstruction and equipping of existing buildings that will meet the minimum requirements and conditions for category 3, 4 or 5 stars of one of the following types of HOTELI catering establishments at the end of the investment: hotel, aparthotel, tourist resort, heritage hotel or diffuse hotel (in accordance with the applicable regulations from catering and tourism), under the condition of mandatory construction and/or realization of additional facilities that are not prescribed as mandatory in accordance with the applicable regulations from catering and tourism, which will contribute to the prolongation of the tourist season and the attractiveness of the offer at the destination,
– the construction and/or realisation of additional facilities for existing hospitality establishments in the Hoteli group (types: hotel, aparthotel, tourist resort, heritage hotel or diffuse hotel), category 3, 4 or 5 stars, which are not prescribed as mandatory in accordance with the applicable regulations from the hospitality and tourism industry, and which will contribute to the prolongation of the tourist season and the attractiveness of the offer at the destination, with or without investment in the renovation (maintenance) and equipping of the accommodation facilities concerned, provided that the existing category is raised by at least one star (in accordance with the applicable regulations from the hospitality and tourism industry);
2. investments in intangible assets;
3. advisory services provided by external consultants, provided that they are directly linked to the project for which the regional aid is granted and do not constitute a permanent or recurrent activity, nor do they relate to the normal operating costs of the undertaking;
4. participation in fairs and presentation of a new tourism product, if it is directly linked to a project for which regional aid is granted;
5. training and specialised training, if directly linked to a project for which regional aid is granted.
Total amount the grant is 304.000.000,00 HRK. The minimum value of the aid, i.e. the minimum grant amount that can be awarded to a particular project, is: 1.000.000,00 HRK. The total State aid cannot exceed the threshold of HRK 10 000 000.00.
Deadline for applications to the competition starts on 16 November 2015 and lasts until 31 December 2016

In Croatia, in the field of social entrepreneurship, for which it is necessary to achieve a certain social impact, an increasingly intense development can be seen in the last few years. But despite the great interest, few people choose this form of entrepreneurship. Individuals have too few opportunities to acquire the right knowledge to realize their entrepreneurial idea and thus start a social enterprise.
That's why we decided to make a choice “Best ideas of social entrepreneurship” and thus offer the winner the opportunity to realize it through professional counselling, mentoring and active promotion and promotion.
We have published public calls for applications “Best idea of social entrepreneurship” with the aim of selecting the seven best ideas of social entrepreneurship in the entire project area of the Slovenian-Croatian border and which will come to life in reality.
The winners of the election will have an expert mentor to draw up a business plan according to the prescribed methodology. At the same time, with the selected winners, a short film will be made that will talk about their idea of social entrepreneurship and the way of realization.
All the winners of the elections will have the opportunity to promote their ideas in the context of project activities, both in Slovenia and in Croatia.
The areas that are involved in choosing the best idea of social entrepreneurship are:
in Croatia: Istria County, Karlovac County and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
in Slovenia: Coastal and karst region, Primorje-Gorski Kotar region, Slovenia and Spodnjeposavska region

Priority of this Public Call is to strengthen the competitiveness of micro-economic operators and stimulate their growth through targeted support for development investments.
The objectives of this public call are:
Improving the efficiency of micro-economic operators
Strengthening the technological base of micro-economic operators
Improving the provision of services through the modernization of the business process
Fostering the development of micro-economic operators and their growth into small economic operators
Encouraging the entrepreneurship of target groups – women entrepreneurs, start-ups, Roma national minority, people with disabilities and entrepreneurs in assisted areas
Creating new jobs and keeping existing ones.
PEligible project activities are:
Investment in fixed assets to improve the performance of activities
Introduction of systems for business improvement and process modernization
Development research to create a new product, business model, service and/or process (includes also the cost of staff employed in development activities)
The minimum amount of aid that can be granted is HRK 30,000.00.
The maximum amount of aid that can be granted is 200.000,00kuna.
