Announcement of the competition to encourage entrepreneurship - "E-Impuls 2016"

The Support Programme of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts is in preparation similar to the Entrepreneurial impulse in 2015, with the addition of three new programmes: women entrepreneurs, target groups of entrepreneurs, Croatian defenders and others.
Significantly more funding has been announced for entrepreneurs compared to 2015, which means a higher number of approved projects.

The competition is expected to be published at the beginning of June, so we are presenting programs to all interested entrepreneurs and craftsmen so that you can start preparing for projects today and get European Union funds for your company.

Enhancing the COMPETITIVENESS OF MICRO AND SMALL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Public call for grants under the Programme Competitiveness of the Tourism Economy

On April 27, 2016, a Public Call for Proposals for Grants was published on the basis of Competitiveness Programme of the Tourism Economy.

Subject of the public call is a grant from the Ministry of Tourism for the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, improvement of the offer of small family hotels, improvement of family accommodation, sustainable development, development of special forms of tourism, and raising the competitiveness of Croatian tourism through:

Measure A – increasing standards, quality and additional supply, business diversification and sustainable development, using new technologies, improving social inclusion, of the following types of catering establishments: Hotels, camps and other types of accommodation facilities, family farm for rural tourism

Measure B – the development of specific forms of tourism;

Measure C – Safety

Measure D – recognisability

Public call for projects for the Island Development Programme in 2016

Deadline for applications: 15.04.2016.

Applicants: Local and regional self-government units
Partners: Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Associations, Cooperatives, Faculties, Informal Associations and Initiatives, Development Agencies, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Institutions

In 2016, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds continues to invest in the islands through Island Development Programme encouraging local and regional self-government units to make a meaningful investment in the development of island infrastructure and economy.

Objective of the Programme 

  • creating preconditions for sustainable economic and social development by increasing the quality of life on the islands through encouraging the development of island specifics.

Beneficiaries of the Programme 

  • local and regional self-government units which, within their administrative boundaries, include Croatian inhabited islands and their occasional inhabited and uninhabited islands and islets and the Pelješac peninsula.

Coverage of the Programme

  • refers to the inhabited islands of the Republic of Croatia located in the territory of six regional self-government units, i.e. six coastal and island counties (Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Lika-Senj, Zadar, Šibenik-Knin, Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva) to which the islands belong territorially and administratively.

 

Eligible partners Applicants may be:
– local and regional self-government units;
– enterprises owned by the State, regional governments or local authorities; public bodies and equivalent bodies (funds, agencies, etc.);
– public institutions established by the State, regional (regional) or local self-government units (public institutions for education, science, culture, information, sport, health, social welfare, care for the disabled and other activities);
– cooperatives and civil society organisations – associations.

Partnership on the project includes:
– financial assistance in the implementation of the project (additional source of co-financing to the applicant);
– operational support in project implementation (support through provision of human and material resources for project implementation, etc.).

Projects are eligible related to the following areas:
– development infrastructure;
– municipal infrastructure;
– social/social infrastructure;
– public infrastructure;
– environmental protection, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources;
– basic entrepreneurial infrastructure to or within existing entrepreneurial zones;
– infrastructure for the purpose of improving the tourist offer.

 Eligible activities are:
– the execution of works;
– the construction/reconstruction/rehabilitation/adaptation and modernisation of existing buildings;
– works on the modification of facades, windows and doors, the improvement of lighting, heating and cooling systems, the installation of boiler rooms, the installation of solar systems, hot water heating systems, etc. (activities achieving at least 20% energy savings and incentivising energy efficiency);
– works for the construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of basic entrepreneurial infrastructure, to or within existing entrepreneurial zones, where the lack of such infrastructure constitutes an obstacle to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises;
– works on the construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure facilities for the purpose of improving the tourist offer (extension of the tourist season, diversity of the tourist offer).

Total value of the co-financing amount maximum amount per applicant 2.000.000,00 HRK. The minimum amount of funds that the Ministry can approve for a single project is HRK 100,000.00. A project whose total value is less than HRK 110,000,00 or HRK 140,000,00 (depending on the level of development of the local and regional self-government unit of the place of implementation of the project), will not be co-financed.

Deadline the filing of the application is up to April 15, 2016.

Promoting the sustainable use of natural heritage in national and nature parks

General objective This Limited Call is the sustainable use of natural heritage destinations (national and nature parks) with the aim of contributing to sustainable socio-economic development at local/regional level.

Specific objective increasing attractiveness and educational capacity and establishing better visitor management in natural heritage destinations (national and nature parks).

Eligible applicants are public institutions for the management of national and nature parks, as follows:

1. National parks:
– Plitvice Lakes National Park Public Institution;
– Paklenica National Park Public Institution;
– Risnjak National Park Public Institution;
– Mljet National Park Public Institution;
– Kornati National Park Public Institution;
– Brijuni National Park Public Institution;
– Krka National Park Public Institution;
– Northern Velebit National Park Public Institution.

2. Nature parks:
– Biokovo Nature Park Public Institution;
– Public Institution Velebit Nature Park;
– Public Institution Nature Park Medvednica;
– Telaščica Nature Park Public Institution;
– Lonjsko polje Nature Park Public Institution;
– Kopački rit Nature Park Public Institution;
– Papuk Nature Park Public Institution;
– Učka Nature Park Public Institution;
– Public Institution Nature Park Žumberak – Samoborsko gorje;
– Vransko Lake Nature Park Public Institution;
– Lastovo Islands Nature Park Public Institution.

Eligible partners are:
– local and regional self-government units, and/or
– civil society organisations, and/or
– tourist board offices.

Eligible activities are:

1. Preparation of study and project documentation;

2. Project implementation:
– the reconstruction and/or construction of visitor infrastructure including the equipping and development of visitor facilities and products based on natural heritage;
– education and interpretation;
– destination promotion and marketing on the topic of natural heritage.

3. Project management.

This does not constitute an exhaustive list, but may include all other activities and documentation necessary for the execution/realisation of the project.

Total grants to be awarded within this Limited Call is 380.000.000,00 HRK. The lowest amount per project proposal is 3.500.000,00 HRK, and the highest is 85.000.000,00 HRK.

Deadline for the submission of project proposals is until the funds are used up, with the deadline for the submission of project proposals by 31 December 2017. The submission of the project proposal is allowed from 21 April 2016 at 12 noon at the earliest.
