Energy renovation of buildings and use of renewable energy sources in public institutions providing education

Subject: Energy renovation and use of renewable energy sources in public sector buildings where public institutions carry out education activities. This Call will support the implementation of energy renovation measures and the use of renewable energy sources, in particular through an integrated approach.

Purpose It calls for the implementation of energy renovation measures and the use of renewable energy sources in public sector buildings where public institutions carry out education activities that will result in a reduction in energy consumption for heating/cooling through an integrated approach.

Eligible applicants are:

  • local or regional self-government units which are:
  • owners of buildings which are the subject of a project in which public institutions, established by a local or regional self-government unit or the Republic of Croatia, carry out educational activities, or
  • founders of public institutions providing education in buildings that are the subject of the project, where the buildings that are the subject of the project are owned by that public institution or local or regional self-government unit or the Republic of Croatia;
  • public institutions are engaged in educational activities if they fulfil cumulatively the following two conditions:
  • they are established by a local or regional self-government unit or the Republic of Croatia, and
    that the buildings in which they carry out this activity are owned by them or by a local or regional self-government unit or the Republic of Croatia.

Mandatory partner is the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Energy Efficiency Sector.

Eligible activities:

  • Preparation of project documentation
  1. Energy renovation
  • Renovation of the building envelope – increasing the thermal protection of the envelope that adds, renovates or replaces parts of the building
  • installation of a new high-efficiency heating system
  • replacing the existing domestic hot water preparation system with a system using RES
  • Replacement or introduction of a cooling system with a high-efficiency system
  • Replacement or introduction of a ventilation system with a high-efficiency system
  • Replacement of interior lighting with more efficient
  • installation of photovoltaic modules for the production of electricity from RES for the purposes of ETC
  • promoting the use of renewable energy sources by installing solar heating systems;
  • implementation of building automation and management systems
  • introduction of a system for remote reading of energy and water consumption and a system of energy and water control meters (obligation for project proposals providing for the formation of new ETCs)
  • horizontal measures relating to the implementation of new accessibility elements to overcome height differences in accordance with the Rules on ensuring accessibility of buildings for persons with disabilities and reduced mobility;
  • professional construction supervision
  • Design supervision, if applicable
  • the service of the occupational health and safety coordinator during construction, if applicable;
  • energy audit of the building, preparation of the report on energy audit of the building and energy performance certificate after energy renovation
  • Promotion and visibility of the project
  • Project management and administration
  • Professional support activities for the Applicant/User by the Partner.

The maximum or minimum grant amount that can be awarded to finance the eligible costs of an individual project proposal is as follows:

  • minimum amount of HRK 80,000.00
  • maximum amount of 10,000,000,00 HRK.

Grants will be awarded through an open grant award procedure in the form of multiple interim calls with a deadline for submission of project proposals for the first interim call of 90 (ninety) calendar days from the date of publication, at the end of which the award procedure begins, i.e. at the earliest from 22 November 2016 until at the latest 20 February 2017.

Tender for the implementation of sub-measure 7.2. ‘Investments in the creation, improvement or expansion of all types of small-scale infrastructure, including investments in renewable energy sources and energy savings’ — Implementation of operation type 7.2.2. "Investments in the construction of unclassified roads"

Applicants: Local and regional self-government units

The subject of the tender shall be the allocation of funds in accordance with Article 13. Ordinance on the implementation of Measure M07 "Basic services and village renewal in rural areas", from the Rural Development Programme of the Republic of Croatia for the period 2014-2017. 20-2020 (NN No 71/2016) (hereinafter: Regulation) for the implementation of type of operation 7.2.2. "Investments in the construction of unclassified roads".

The total amount of public support is HRK 173,000,000. The aid entails the award of dedicated grants. Public support intensity per project/operation is up to 100% total eligible costs.

The minimum amount of the value of the project/operation for which an aid application can be submitted is EUR 30,000 in HRK equivalent. The maximum amount of the value of the project/operation for which an aid application can be submitted is €1,250,000 in HRK equivalent.

Deadline for the submission of the certificate of submission of the aid application referred to in point 5(4) of this tender, it shall start to run from 4 November 2016 to 23 December 2016

[OPTIONAL CALL] Energy renovation of multi-apartment buildings

Type of competition: Open call for proposals (grants)

Applicants: economic operators, craftsmen

Summary: Purpose of the Call for Proposals "Energy renovation of multi-apartment buildings“ is the implementation of energy renovation measures and the use of renewable energy sources in multi-apartment buildings that will result in a reduction in energy consumption for heating/cooling through an integrated approach.

Within this Call, funds worth a total of HRK 152,000,000 from the European Regional Development Fund will be allocated to projects for energy renovation of multi-apartment buildings and support to beneficiaries for the implementation of the same:

  • GROUP 1 - Energy renovation of a multi-dwelling building
    GROUP 2 - Horizontal measures

Grants will be awarded through an open procedure by:

  • for GRUP 1 in the modality of multiple interim calls with a deadline for the submission of project proposals for the first interim call of 90 calendar days, i.e. from 17.10.2016 to 16.01.2017.
    for GRUP 2 in the form of an interim Call with a deadline for the submission of a project proposal of 60 calendar days, i.e. from 17 October 2016 to 16 December 2016.

Eligible applicants under this Call are:

  • GROUP 1 – In the name and on behalf of the co-owners of a multi-apartment building, an authorised representative of the co-owners of the building (representative of the co-owners) or the building manager
    GROUP 2 – Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Energy Efficiency Sector

The Ministry of Tourism has published a Public Call for Participation in the 2016 Programme for the Promotion of Personnel Education in Hospitality and Tourism "STIPENDIJE"

BASIC OBJECTIVE: Raising the quality of staff in hospitality and tourism, ultimately the overall quality of Croatian tourism by encouraging the education of young people for professions in hospitality and tourism and better connecting educational institutions and economic companies in tourism

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: Motivating young people for hospitality and tourism professions by raising education standards:

– scholarships during education for hospitality and tourism professions;

– raising the quality of professional practice;

– post-education employment

Applicants may be: – legal or natural persons registered to provide catering services in establishments belonging to a group of hotels and a group of campsites or a tourist agency (hereinafter: company) – County Chambers of Trades and Crafts (hereinafter: Chamber) Students who are educated for tourism and hospitality professions.

The funds are intended for co-financing scholarships to pupils and students who are studying for professions in tourism and hospitality DISCOUNT OF PLANNED MEDICINES The total amount of the scholarship can be: 

  • maximum 1.000,00 kn per student per month
  • maximum HRK 1,600.00 per student per month

The Ministry approves 50% the total amount of the scholarship, and the partner of the other 50%.
