[OPTIONAL CALL] Demonstrating an innovative concept

Ministry of Science and Education (MZO) through National Recovery and Resilience Programme 2021-2026 published 28 July 2023 Public call for project proposals “Demonstration of an innovative concept Second Call’.

Purpose Invitation is an increase in readiness to develop new products and processes due to improved R&D and innovation capacities of enterprises and scientific organisations.

Subject matter of the call is the award of grants to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and scientific organizations, for the co-financing of pre-commercial activities in the initial stage of development of new products, services and technological processes, in order to determine the potential for commercialization, direct further development and reduce investment risk.

Financial allocation

Applicants who are businesses the project is implemented independently. Applicants who are Public research organisations the project is implemented in mandatory partnership with the Recognized Centre. Applicants who have their own status the Recognized Center, the project is implemented independently. Eligible project activities

The project will primarily fund research activities at the Technology Readiness Level TRL 3-4, which may be classified in the category of industrial research. Industrial research means planned research or critical review aimed at acquiring new knowledge and skills for the development of new products, processes or services or at achieving a significant improvement of existing products, processes or services. This includes the creation of components of complex systems and may include prototyping in a laboratory environment or in an environment with simulated interfaces to existing systems, as well as pilot lines where this is necessary for industrial research, primarily for generic technology validation.

1) Research (TRL 3-4)

  • Prototyping;
  • Demonstration of technical feasibility.

2) Innovation cycle management activities

3) Preparation of documents for the purpose of commercialization of innovations

  • Market analysis;
  • Preparation of a feasibility study;
  • Development of a concept and/or strategy for product development and/or commercialisation (commercialisation study or plan);
  • Verification and protection of intellectual property;
  • Patent search;
  • Validation of the idea i.e. market needs, analysis of the IP protection strategy.

[JAVNI CALL] Construction, reconstruction and equipping of primary schools for the needs of one-shift work and a full-day school

The Ministry of Science and Education has launched a permanent call for project proposals ‘Construction, reconstruction and equipping of primary schools for the purpose of one-shift work and a full-day school’.

Purpose of the call is to provide infrastructural and material capacities for the transition of primary schools to one shift and the implementation of a whole-day school by investing in the construction, reconstruction and equipping of primary schools for the needs of one-shift work and a whole-day school.

Eligible applicants are:

  • ministries
  • Local self-government units
  • Regional self-government units

Project partners may be:

  • local and/or regional self-government units and/or
  • Republic of Croatia and/or
  • public institutions providing education and other public institutions founded by local and/or regional self-government units or the Republic of Croatia, whose existing buildings or land will be used to increase the capacity of classrooms for the purpose of one-shift work.

The total available grant amount for this Call is 302.608.000,00 EUR of which the minimum grant amount that can be awarded to a particular project is EUR 100,000.00 and the maximum amount is EUR 20,000,000.00.

Project proposals are submitted the Electronic System of the National Recovery and Resilience Programme (eNPOO), by completing and submitting the application form.

[OPTIONAL CALL] Fostering competitiveness and growth of entrepreneurship on the islands

MRRFEU under Scheme for the granting of de minimis aid to island employers for the launch of economic activities and the preservation of jobs continues to implement the measure of granting de minimis aid to island economic operators for the launch of economic activities as well as for the preservation of jobs, in order to boost the competitiveness of the economy on the islands and the Peljesac peninsula.

Subject the Public Call is the granting of de minimis aid in order to foster the competitiveness and growth of entrepreneurship on the islands and to preserve jobs.

Eligible beneficiaries are island employers, i.e. natural persons – craftsmen and legal persons, who carry out their registered activity on the islands, regardless of their registered office.

The total amount of de minimis aid granted to a single undertaking must not exceed EUR 200.000,00 over a period of three fiscal years (2021,2022,2023). The total amount of de minimis aid granted to a single road haulage undertaking for hire or reward shall not exceed EUR 100,000.00 over a period of three fiscal years (2021,2022, 2023).

The deadline for submitting applications is 19 June 2023.

PUBLIC INVITATION to undertakings for the granting of de minimis aid from the ‘Programme of measures for the development of entrepreneurship of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County for the period 2022-2022 20-2025’

PRIMORSKO-GORANSKA ŽUPANIJA, Administrative Department for Tourism, Entrepreneurship and Rural Development published on 27 April 2023 a call to entrepreneurs for the granting of de minimis aid from the ‘Programme of measures for the development of entrepreneurship of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County for the period 2022-2022’. 2025-2025" in 2023 for the following actions:

  • Measure 3.1 - Co-financing of equipment costs - Manufacturing
  • Measure 4.3 - Encouraging energy efficiency
  • Measure 5.1 - Aid to start-ups/craftsmen - Aid to start-up entrepreneurs opening a business or company for the first time (Gorski Kotar and the Islands)

Minimum aid amount: 1.000,00 EUR
Maximum aid amount: 10.000,00 EUR
Intensity of support: 80%
