As part of the project 3DoP (Optimisation of Production by 3D Printing) in which the Rijeka Development Agency Porin is the only Croatian partner, has been published Public call for small and medium-sized enterprises development or commercialisation of innovative products or processes using additive manufacturing technologies;. The competition will be open to interested parties. Direct access to resources, experts, services and technological solutions developed by project partners, which will enable the creation of new business opportunities and attract investment.   

Interested parties will play a key role in the commercialization of innovative technological solutions developed through the project, and there is also an opportunity to strengthen the role of additive technologies in Croatia and at the level of the entire European Union. 

Through the project, the partners operating within the 3DoP consortium have developed a number of technological solutions in the field of additive technologies as well as numerous services that support the further development of the manufacturing industry at the European Union level.

By participating in a public call interested Businesses get a chance Yes:

Technical and non-technical services

Within the public call, companies with innovative ideas and projects can choose between technical and non-technical services.

Technical services they include 8 technical solutions covering various manufacturing technologies in the areas of 3D printing of metals and polymers, automation and electronics, but also innovation in the dental industry. On the other hand, Non-technical services These include the opportunity to test and validate the most advanced 3D printing technologies developed within the project, to work directly with partner companies to develop complementary solutions and launch innovative projects, support in finding financing opportunities and tailor-made education for the market launch of AM technologies.

Collaborate, test, innovate!

Services available to selected companies are highly specialized and completely free: once the application is submitted, and accepted, the selected companies will receive, in addition to technical services, additional support in the form of mentoring and counselling by the project's expert partners on various aspects of their concept.

Optimization of production through advanced 3D technology

3DoP is a project that aims to support industrial growth and innovation through cooperation between regions of European macro-regions.

Through collaboration with 33 partners, 3DoP offers A wide range of advanced 3D printing and support solutions for manufacturing companies within the European Union. Our role is to provide 3D printed metal molds for injection molding of plastic parts with integrated electronics because the possibilities of our metal 3D printing are ideal for this application. We can produce moulds with internal cooling channels needed for quick cooling of injection moulded plastic parts.

The project is designed to remove barriers – high costs, the need to improve quality, the lack of automation and the need for better digital integration that hamper the widespread uptake of this technology by SMEs.

The innovative approach of the project includes:

• creating an integrated framework for the innovation and investment ecosystem;
• development of targeted technical solutions,
• Activation of sustainable investment chains.

The Ministry of the Economy has published a call for grants ‘Support to enterprises for the certification of products and the implementation of management systems’ (Reference number: PK.1.3.04) under the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021-2027.

Subject of the public call

Providing support to SMEs to increase international competitiveness conformity assessment and certification of products, services or processes; in accordance with the requirements of internationally recognised standards or certification schemes.

Purpose of the public call

Facilitate access to the international market and increase the competitiveness of SMEs-is achieved through the achievement of the applicable level of internationally recognised standards and standards, as well as management systems, which demonstrate the level of quality and safety in the exchange of goods and services and contribute to customer confidence.

Financial allocation

The maximum grant amount that can be awarded to each project is: 150.000,00 EUR, and the minimum grant amount that can be awarded to a specific project is EUR 3,000.00.

Aid intensity

The maximum aid intensity is up to 75% eligible costs for micro and small enterprises, i.e. up to 55% for a medium-sized enterprise.

Eligible applicants

The applicant must be a legal or natural person who is micro, small or medium-sized entrepreneur.

Eligible activities

1. Certification of products, services, processes i.e. assessing the conformity of a product with a given standard;
   or specification
2. Management system certification investing in the preparation, implementation and certification of management systems (quality or business processes or services) according to the requirements of internationally recognized standards for management systems or in the field of services (ISO) or according to the requirements of market-recognised certification schemes (such as FSC and/or PEFC certifications, BRC standards, KOSHER, HALAL, EU Ecolabel certificate (acceptable cost of preparing studies for the EU Ecolabel certificate), etc.).

Eligible costs

The eligible direct costs under the product conformity assessment procedure shall include:

• costs of preparing the required technical documentation;
• costs of translation of technical documentation into a foreign language;
• costs of conformity assessment of products, services, processes (testing, inspection, certification, measurement, calibration) by an accredited conformity assessment body;
• the costs of the conformity assessment procedure for products, services, processes and the issuance of conformity documents by an accredited conformity assessment body.

The eligible direct costs under the management system deployment and certification process shall include:

• costs of advisory services necessary for the implementation of the management system that will enable the acquisition of the certificate;
• costs of training staff necessary for the implementation of the management system which is/are the subject of the project proposal;
• costs of certification of the business process and quality management system by an accredited body.

Indirect costs incurred in the implementation of the project are also eligible:

• purchase costs (purchase) of standards;
• costs of promotion and visibility of the project;
• the costs of implementing horizontal activities;
• the costs of preparing a project proposal.

Deadline and method of submission of applications

The project proposal shall be submitted through the eCohesion system from 4 February 2025 at 11 a.m. The deadline for submission of project applications is 31.12.2026 to 12.00.

It's open Call for proposals for European cooperation projects from the Creative Europe programme, for which funding has been provided for a total amount EUR 59 979 335, and co-financing is foreseen around 130 project proposals.

CALL OBJECTIVES 

• Objective 1 – Transnational creativity and circulation: Strengthening transnational creativity and circulation of European works and artists.

Transnational creativity and circulation are essential to advance cooperation, increase outreach and, in many cases, sustainability and the development of cultural organisations, institutions and individuals. Co-production is a tool to stimulate creativity, share resources and facilitate the transnational distribution of content and mobility of artists. Projects should take into account the new context, such as health or environmental challenges, and integrate innovative (digital) ways of creating and disseminating content.

• Objective 2 – Innovation: Increasing the capacity of the European cultural and creative sectors to develop talent, innovate, prosper and create jobs and economic growth.

Projects corresponding to this objective should focus on capacity building, which can be technological and/or artistic in nature. This may include the development and testing of new practices or models, as well as the transfer and dissemination of innovative practices.

Areas of innovation may include a social or social dimension, such as: Inclusion and audience development, gender equality, inclusion of persons with disabilities, persons belonging to minorities and socially marginalised groups, fight against climate change, digitalisation, etc. Culture can also contribute to health and well-being, especially mental health, taking into account existing evidence and the persistent mental health crisis that particularly affects young people.

INTERSECTORAL QUESTIONS | CROSS-CUTTING ISSUES

Special emphasis on project proposals are cross-cutting issues that are included through all activities supported by the Creative Europe programme. This call will support project proposals that will pay special attention to inclusion, diversity, rof equality, and environmental issues that contribute to the fight against climate change.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES

• COOP-1 small cooperation projects > minimum 3 partners / 3 different countries > EU support: EUR 200,000-80% the overall budget
• COOP-2 medium-sized cooperation projects > minimum 5 partners / 5 different countries > EU support: EUR 1 000 000-70% the overall budget
• COOP-2 medium-sized cooperation projects > minimum 10 partners / 10 different countries > EU support: EUR 2,000,000-60% the overall budget

The expected duration of projects in all categories is maximum 48 months. Projects are open to legal entities (private and public), national, regional and local authorities, where the lead partner must be able to substantiate its legal personality (same name and status) for the past two years.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Project proposals are evaluated according to 4 basic categories, with the need to exceed the individual points threshold by categories (50%) and total pass score (70/100):

• RELEVANTITY - 30 points
• QUALITY OF CONTENT AND ACTIVITIES - 30 points
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT - 20 points
• DISEMINATION - 20 points
