The manufacturing industry is the main driver of industrial innovation, job creation and growth in Europe. The vision of the European Union is that Europe will be at the forefront of innovation in manufacturing, and with this mission in mind, HUBs across Europe have been established to bring together all stakeholders working in manufacturing and support them through education, interconnection and innovation projects. Such HUB was founded in Zagreb and presented by the presenter dr.sc. Miro Hegedić. He presented to the attendees and what opportunities through EIT Manufacturing Croatia offer for businesses.
The European Union celebrates this year as European Year of Skills. It looks at the mismatch between the skills that the workforce possesses and the skills that are currently needed in the labour market. We want to point out that this disparity can be eliminated through lifelong learning, continuous work and development of each of us.
Continuing the celebration of the Year of Skills, on the panel Young people in the manufacturing industry we gathered Dorjana Cindrića from Exevia, Karl Džafić from Hartera Robotics and Daniel Djuranovic as a representative of the Torpedo Production Park. They told us why they work in the manufacturing industry, what their favorite projects are and where they see themselves in the future, and how they intend to get there. They told those younger than themselves, but also those who want to change their career, to pursue their interests because they will always be enthusiastic about their work.
