Center for Technology Transfer Ltd. (CTT) and the ZEVinnovation project organize a free workshop called Technology transfer and development of innovative capacity with the support of the ZEVinnovation project.

The workshop will be held on Thursday 24 March 2022 years from 10:45 to 14:15 in the premises the Rijeka Development Agency PORIN (Torpedo Production Park).

Experts in the field of knowledge and technology transfer, innovation and business development will present the potential of the ZEVinnovation project and services that will be directed towards innovators.

The purpose of this workshop is to present the services offered by the ZEVinnovation project to innovators and users of the digital platform: ZEVinnovation HUB.

Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. is a partner in the project Blue and Green Infrastructure for Sustainable Cities, abbreviated Blue Green City, from the Interreg Europe Programme (PGI05836) and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund with a total value of 1.348.909,00 EUR, and the grant amounts to 1.146.572,65 EUR. The duration of the first phase of the project ran from 01.01.2019 to 31.01.2022, and the second phase of the project from 01.02.2022 to no later than 31.01.2023 when all activities are to be completed and the final report submitted.

The project promoter is Metropolis Nice Côte d’Azur – Euromed Cities Network (France) and the other partners are: Univeristy of Greenwich (UK), Piedmont Region (Italy), Southern Regional Assembly (Ireland), Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency (Romania), City of Ingolstadt (Germany), Rijeka Development Agency Porin Ltd. – RDA Porin (Croatia), Municipality of Växjö (Sweden).

The aim of the project is to promote green and blue infrastructure as an integral part of the local/regional strategy for the preservation of natural heritage. Blue Green City strives to increase awareness and knowledge of the concept of ecosystem services and the value of green and blue infrastructure through project events and workshops with the purpose of interregional learning, exchanging experiences and good practices, and creating strong cooperation in finding common solutions to common climate change challenges.

One of the main results of the project was the development of Action Plans relating to the implementation policy of green infrastructure in the territory of each partner. Thus, the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. has developed an Action Plan for the City of Rijeka and will monitor the implementation of this document as part of the second phase of the project. The action plan includes the follow-up of the following documents/activities:

• Monitoring the development of the new strategic document Green Infrastructure Development Strategy of the City of Rijeka 2022-2027, initiated by the Department for Development, Urbanism, Ecology and Land Management of the City of Rijeka.
• The Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. will provide local stakeholders with training related to mutual cooperation with the following topics: Scenario for the planning of the strategy on adaptation to climate change; Green and Blue Infrastructure and Evaluation of Ecosystem Services.
• Monitoring of the implementation of the Rijeka Local Partnership Programme 2022 tender published by the Department of Municipal Self-Government and Administration of the City of Rijeka.

The role of the City of Rijeka and its aforementioned departments is very important, not only for monitoring the implementation of the Action Plan, but also for cooperation with all local stakeholders who will participate in the development of a new strategic document related to green infrastructure, which is an important topic in the implementation of European goals and the European Green Deal, as well as national, county and local strategic documents.

On 21 January 2022, the first partner meeting was held for the newly approved PoWER PLUS project from the ADRION Programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund in the amount of EUR 168,683.00. This project is a continuation of the previous PoWER project and concerns scenario forecasting for port areas after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic crisis. The duration of the project is 6 months, starting from 1 January to 30 June 2022.

The PoWER PLUS project aims to carry out a foresight process in order to detect the main problems that could affect the Adriatic-Ionian ports in the short and medium term in the light of the Covid-19 outbreak and the related economic crisis. The results of these processes will be used to update and, therefore, improve the main results produced by the former PoWER project, i.e. the PoWER methodology for building the innovation supply chain, the PoWER strategy for port development into innovation hubs and powerports ICT platforms. eu.

Activity T1.1 – Prediction and scenario development

The project partners of the former PoWER project will work in pairs (CNR-CNA, RDA Porin-CDI-CETEOR, FEP, CERTH-CCI) that will be formed according to their potential common strategic trends (also based on their geographical proximity and the typologies of the ports they deal with).

The first phase of implementation is dedicated to collecting experts' opinions on possible future scenarios related to port areas included in the project, also in view of the wider situation and trends in the Adriatic-Ionian area.

Each partner will invite 5 port local experts from heterogeneous areas of expertise to give their opinion using a dedicated template – questionnaire

This will help as a tool to organise local workshops where experts will be invited to present weaknesses/necessary updates/further recommendations of the Methodology and Strategy based on the scenarios developed.

Foresight questionnaires will be administered to the general public and collected to build a dedicated database in the ICT platform. The ICT platform will also be enhanced by an updated GIS section with new scenarios-related layers both with the EU and national (where available) recovery and resilience plans.

Activity T1.2 – Improving the post-Covid PoWER methodology and strategy19

A workshop will be organised at local level, focusing on the strengths/weaknesses of the PoWER methodology and strategy in light of the (T1) scenario, in the context of the social and economic crisis of COVID-19.

The Foresight for Territorial Cooperation event will be organised and broadcast live.

An appendix to each methodology and strategy will be developed with the results of the workshops and the proposed guidelines.

PPs will also carry out a search on the EU and/or national recovery/resilience plans for guidelines related to the port economy and future development.

Activity T1.3 – Improving the PoWER ICT platform

The aim is to improve the existing ICT platform in terms of:

a) embedding features to make content accessible to people with special needs

b) The GIS section will be enriched with layers related to developed local scenarios, as well as content related to the EU Regulation (2021/241) for the establishment of recovery and resilience cases, as well as the "National Recovery Plans" where it is applicable

c) creating an open database in which all prediction questionnaires will be available (anonymously).

The partners have agreed on terms in which they will carry out all the planned activities as set out above.

Today, 10 January 2022, exactly at 12 noon, the exhibition PROTOCI IDEJA was opened as part of the EU TEMPUS project co-financed by the Interreg V-A programme, Italy-Croatia, in which the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. and the City of Rijeka are also partners. The opening of the exhibition was attended by: Nikolina Radić Štivić, Director of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral, Dario Zorić, Director of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., Ivan Šarar, Head of the Department of Culture of the City of Rijeka and Petar Mamula, Deputy Prefect of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.

The Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka is the organizer of the exhibition, which aims to collect ideas related to the heritage of the Rijeka port of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. based on the historical accents of the development of the Rijeka port, i.e. the flows of technology, materials, people and culture, otherwise included in the content of the exhibition. the Virtual Exhibition. This Call was intended to enable creative people to submit ideas based on the construction, restoration and evaluation of cultural and natural heritage related to the port of Rijeka. Thus, with the help of selected ideas, the core of local entrepreneurial ecosystems aimed at supporting the cultural and creative industries are established. The choice of ideas makes it possible to highlight them in further project activities and contributes to the creation of a common entrepreneurial ecosystem as an effective and necessary entrepreneurial activity in the field of the Rijeka pilot project, i.e.TUA Rijeka (Temporary Uses Action – Temporary Benefit Actions).

The following ideas are present at the exhibition: The man at the centre of the way of life and work in Rijeka by the applicant LAG Terra Liburna from Opatija, Cultural Time Machine through the past of the city of Rijeka by the applicant Institution for Adult Education Dante from Rijeka, Museum of Rooms MARINA by the applicant Arhipelag d.o.o. from Mali Lošinj, Production of models M/B Trebinje and Models of Rijeka cranes by the applicant Croatian Federation of Shipmodellers from Rijeka, Bajo’s smoked sardines in the oil of the applicant Arca Craft Food from Rijeka, Hydraulic steering systems of the applicant Scam-marina d.o.o. from Viškovo, Digitalization of the heritage of the Rijeka port by the applicant M&production -obrt for promotion from Rijeka, JGL Museum of Pharmacy by the applicant JGL Museum of Pharmacy from Rijeka, Rijeka cranes - tourist attraction by the applicant Trifora craft from Rijeka and Production of souvenir torpedo with the application of additive technology by the applicant Production Park Torpedoke Development Agency Poo.o.o from Rijeka.

The exhibition will be available in Rijeka until 20 January 2022. Also, a small number of products of the holders of the above mentioned ideas were placed in the window of the building of the City of Rijeka on Korzo 16.
