On 1 January 2018, the implementation of the project Power (Ports as Entrepreneurial Realm) from the Interreg Adrion transnational cooperation programme began.
Lead partner of the project is the National Research Council Construction Technologies Institute (Italy) and other partners are CNA (Italy), Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. (Croatia), CERTH (Greece), CCI THESPROT IA (Greece), FEP (Serbia), CDI (Albania), Municipality of Durres (Albania) and CETEOR doo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). An associate partner from Croatia is the City of Rijeka.
Objective of the project PoWER supports the transformation of ports into innovative hubs that are tasked with exploiting their entrepreneurial potential as efficiently as possible. Within the project, a total of 6 case studies (six ports) will be processed, through an original approach that includes an analysis of the potential for EE and RES, improvement of IT solutions, etc.
Project outputs are:
- Unique PoWER methodology to accelerate collaboration between companies and research institutions
- Establishment of the Innovation Hubs Network (IHN)
- IHN strategy for the evolution of ports into innovative habs that will be supported by the ICT platform
The project is being implemented in the period 01/01/2018 – 31/12/2019.
