At the recently held INNOVATHON in Rijeka, five teams of young people aged 18-35 gathered to participate in the selection for the best idea in order to stimulate the challenges that will contribute to innovative solutions in the areas of port cities for possible further use on the TEMPUS platform.
The following ideas have been proposed: New European Bauhaus - the new use of unused port heritage facilities; Torpedo 101; Outdoor getting to know the city of Rijeka; Application for a fun acquaintance with the cultural and historical heritage of Rijeka; The time machine of the city of Rijeka.
After the teams presented their ideas, the jury evaluated each idea on the basis of the set criteria and the best rated idea was ‘New European Bauhaus – a new use of unused port facilities’ Proponents Karla and Luke.
We thank all teams for participating and presenting their ideas based on their technical knowledge, creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork.
The winning idea will be presented at the final conference of the project, which will be held on 28-29 March 2023 in Bari (Italy) and will be in competition for the selection of the best idea from three pilot cities (Rijeka, Ravenna, Solin). Ideas will be evaluated by an international jury composed of project representatives from Croatia and Italy.
INNOVATHON is part of the activities of the TEMPUS project (TEMPorary USes as start-up actions to enhance port (in)tangible heritage) from the Interreg V-A Italy-Croatia Programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
