Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance, re-opened the Investment Loans programme from National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
Entrepreneurs are available in total €10 million, and the funds are allocated until the allocation is used up, which means that the speed of the application will be crucial.
Basic terms and conditions of the loan
- Loan amount: to €100,000
- interest rate: 0,8% (fixed)
- repayment period: to 10 years
- Lunch: to 12 months (with a minimum repayment term of 2 years)
- free of charge for loan processing
The loan is primarily intended for investments, with the possibility of using up to 30% working capital.
What can the funds be used for?
Eligible investments shall include projects contributing to:
- green transition and energy efficiency;
- the digitalisation of business and the introduction of Industry 4.0;
- investments in new technologies, equipment and business capacity;
- construction, expansion or adaptation of business facilities.
The instrument aims to boost investments that strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of businesses, with a focus on the green and digital transitions.
Who can apply?
Loans are intended for small business entities which:
- operate in the Republic of Croatia,
- have at least one employee,
- duly settle their obligations;
- have no significant financial difficulties.
In addition, the project must be economically justified and comply with the EU "do no significant harm" principle.
Important notes
- Funds are allocated according to the principle "fast finger" (until the allocation is exhausted).
- Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the HAMAG-BICRO system.
- It is possible to achieve only one loan per entrepreneur.
- The loan cannot be combined with other NRRP financial instruments for the same project.
It is important to point out that the right to a loan is not automatic. The approval decision shall be made on the basis of an assessment of the viability of the project and the creditworthiness of the undertaking.
