Session of the Election Assembly of the Local Partnership for Employment of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County

On 29 December, at the premises of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o. Production Park Torpedo, a session of the Election Assembly of the Local Partnership for Employment of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County (LPZ PGŽ) was held, both physically and online. The participants of the Assembly were welcomed by the Director of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., Dario Zorić.

The newly appointed representatives of 29 members were presented on the agenda of the session, a report on the activities achieved for the mandate period 2018-2021 was presented, with a review of the overall activity of this body from its establishment to the present day, and representatives of the members of the Presidency, the Management Board and the Secretariat of the LPZ PGŽ were elected.

The current president, Doris Sošić from the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., was elected president of the LPZ PGC, and the vice-presidents are Andrej Marušić from the Institution for Adult Education Dante and Željko Marković from the Croatian Employment Service - Regional Service Rijeka.

Representatives of the following members were elected to the Management Board:  Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., Institution for Adult Education Dante, Croatian Employment Service - Regional Service Rijeka, University of Rijeka, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, City of Rijeka, Centre for Technical Culture Rijeka. The Secretariat of LPZ PGC consists of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Centre of Technical Culture Rijeka and the Croatian Chamber of Economy-County Chamber Rijeka.

Doris Sošić presented the activities of LPZ PGC, with the greatest emphasis on the implementation of the Human Resources Development Strategy of PGC 2015-2020 and the EU project LO.PA.Z. PLUS (holder of RRA PORIN) funded by the European Social Fund, since LPZ PGC is in charge of the development and implementation of the Strategy and the mentioned project implemented by the secretariat and members of LPZ PGC. The results of the LO.PA.Z. PLUS project were highlighted in working with target groups (unemployed, women, youth, people with disabilities, etc.) and through the project, 366 unemployed people in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County participated in various activities, of which 165 were long-term unemployed (125 women) who underwent various trainings to raise their competences and skills, 89 people used the measure for self-employment and opened their own business (39 women), while 55 people found a job with an employer (32 women). Employees of the members of the LPZ PGC also participated in the training activities of the project, so 65 people additionally gained new knowledge. As part of the project, professional materials such as: Action plan for the implementation of the Human Resources Development Strategy of the County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar 2015-2020; The program of encouraging the development of entrepreneurship in the County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar; Identification of shortage occupations in PGC; Creating a Knowledge Coalition to develop digital knowledge and skills; Development of tools for staff in the IT sector.

After the meeting, representatives of the members of the LPZ PGC visited the Torpedo Production Park, which was presented by the director Dario Zorić.
