COMPETITION
for the selection of persons from the area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County whose development of innovation will be co-financed by grants in 2017.
1. General conditions
- The right to participate is held by natural persons – authors of innovations (hereinafter: innovators) resident in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
- It is possible to apply for innovation (invention or industrial design) for which the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) or the relevant international or national institution received the application or issued a document of recognised protection in 2016 or 2017. Cases with suspended proceedings or refused protection will not be examined.
- Innovation co-financed by grants in previous years will not be considered.
- An innovator may apply for more than one innovation, but only one innovation can be eligible for co-financing
- In particular, the three most successful innovations of young innovators (up to the age of 30) will be stimulated.
2. PUBLIC DOCUMENTS LIST
- Completed Application Form including: Description of innovation, summary of description, pictures, sketches or photos. It is recommended that the above be accompanied by a description of the benefits of innovation, additional explanations and the addition of a curriculum vitae, professional development and the engagement of the author of innovation in the innovation activity.
- Copy of identity card and proof of giro account.
- Copy of Form P1 or D1 certified by the SIPO or patent file, i.e. a file on a recognised design or a copy of a decision.
3. Other provisions
- Applications submitted without the required documentation and out of time will not be considered.
- The panel shall have the right to search available databases and to determine the innovativeness of the innovation and, on the basis of the lack thereof, to reject the request.
- A contract is concluded with the innovator to co-finance the development of innovation through non-repayable incentives.
- Applications must be submitted in written form and must contain the completed and signed Application Form for the O-17 competition (downloaded on the website of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County: pgz.hr or in the premises of the Administrative Department for Tourism, Entrepreneurship and Rural Development, Slogin kula 2- Rijeka) with the related mandatory documentation.
- Applications may be submitted in person at the Registry or by post in an envelope to :

- Deadline for submission of applications with annexes is closed on the day 9 September 2017 (Friday)
- The results of the competition will be published no later than 18 December 2017 on the website pgz.hr.
