Business transfer is a challenge faced by a large number of entrepreneurs in Europe. It is estimated that in the EU about 450,000 companies with 2 million employees go through the process of business transfer every year and that in a third of companies this process is not properly approached, which is why about 600,000 jobs are lost annually. The topic of business transfer is particularly important for Croatia due to the large number of entrepreneurs who started their ventures in the 1990s and are approaching retirement. Whether they are planning a business transfer to children, employees or the sale of a business, the process of business transfer is complex and time-consuming and requires appropriate support.
The conference is held within the framework of the project "Development of the Network of Entrepreneurial Support Institutions (PPI) through the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO) – Phase 2" – BOND 2, which aims to contribute to increasing the level of entrepreneurial activities by creating a more favourable entrepreneurial environment in all regions of the Republic of Croatia and thus ensure stable growth and development of the entire economy.
