On 5-6 June 2019, the kick-off meeting of the TEMPUS – Temporary USes as start-up actions to enhance port (in)tangible heritage project, funded by the INTERREG V-A Italy-Croatia cross-border cooperation programme, took place.
During the meeting, the project team discussed and agreed on the internal cross-border structures and procedures necessary for the implementation of the activities. The start of the project will be coordinated by the leading project partner with the support of all project partners and financial managers who participated in this first meeting.
The TEMPUS project aims to test the experimental methodology of regeneration of neglected urban port areas, by creating long-term strategies based on culture and community. Thanks to integrated social activation, cultural valorisation and the involvement of interested stakeholders, TEMPUS will re-activate three pilot port areas (Ravenna, Solin, Rijeka) for a limited period of time, with the aim of initiating the implementation of long-term regeneration strategies.

National confederation of handcrafts and of SMEs – Territorial association of Ravenna, Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, CERTIMAC – Building materials certification from Italy; and Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o., Public Institution RERA s.d. for coordination and development of Split-Dalmatia County, City of Solin, Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka, City of Rijeka from Croatia.
Total value of the project: € 2,706,920,00 (ERDF: 2.300.882,00 €).
