[OPTIONAL CALL] Support to companies for the certification of products and the introduction of management systems

The Ministry of the Economy has published a call for grants ‘Support to enterprises for the certification of products and the implementation of management systems’ (Reference number: PK.1.3.04) under the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021-2027.

Subject of the public call

Providing support to SMEs to increase international competitiveness conformity assessment and certification of products, services or processes; in accordance with the requirements of internationally recognised standards or certification schemes.

Purpose of the public call

Facilitate access to the international market and increase the competitiveness of SMEs-is achieved through the achievement of the applicable level of internationally recognised standards and standards, as well as management systems, which demonstrate the level of quality and safety in the exchange of goods and services and contribute to customer confidence.

Financial allocation

The maximum grant amount that can be awarded to each project is: 150.000,00 EUR, and the minimum grant amount that can be awarded to a specific project is EUR 3,000.00.

Aid intensity

The maximum aid intensity is up to 75% eligible costs for micro and small enterprises, i.e. up to 55% for a medium-sized enterprise.

Eligible applicants

The applicant must be a legal or natural person who is micro, small or medium-sized entrepreneur.

Eligible activities

  1. Certification of products, services, processes i.e. assessing the conformity of a product with a given standard;
    or specification
  2. Management system certification investing in the preparation, implementation and certification of management systems (quality or business processes or services) according to the requirements of internationally recognized standards for management systems or in the field of services (ISO) or according to the requirements of market-recognised certification schemes (such as FSC and/or PEFC certifications, BRC standards, KOSHER, HALAL, EU Ecolabel certificate (acceptable cost of preparing studies for the EU Ecolabel certificate), etc.).

Eligible costs

The eligible direct costs under the product conformity assessment procedure shall include:

  • costs of preparing the required technical documentation;
  • costs of translation of technical documentation into a foreign language;
  • costs of conformity assessment of products, services, processes (testing, inspection, certification, measurement, calibration) by an accredited conformity assessment body;
  • the costs of the conformity assessment procedure for products, services, processes and the issuance of conformity documents by an accredited conformity assessment body.

The eligible direct costs under the management system deployment and certification process shall include:

  • costs of advisory services necessary for the implementation of the management system that will enable the acquisition of the certificate;
  • costs of training staff necessary for the implementation of the management system which is/are the subject of the project proposal;
  • costs of certification of the business process and quality management system by an accredited body.

Indirect costs incurred in the implementation of the project are also eligible:

  • purchase costs (purchase) of standards;
  • costs of promotion and visibility of the project;
  • the costs of implementing horizontal activities;
  • the costs of preparing a project proposal.

Deadline and method of submission of applications

The project proposal shall be submitted through the eCohesion system from 4 February 2025 at 11 a.m. The deadline for submission of project applications is 31.12.2026 to 12.00.
