The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has published a programme for granting low-value aid Competitiveness of the tourism economy in 2023. The total planned value of the public call is EUR 2 654 455.
The programme is divided into 3 actions:
- Measure A – restaurants,
- Measure B – agencies,
- Measure C – cruise vessels.
Objective of the programme
Main objective of the programme is the green and digital transition of entrepreneurs throughout the tourism and hospitality value chain. In addition, the programme shall contribute to:
- the development of sustainable tourism products,
- improving environmentally friendly processes in the hospitality business,
- development of innovative tourism products and services,
- circular economy;
- increasing energy efficiency.
Eligible applicants and eligible actions
Measure A
Small business entities (j.d.o.o., d.o.o., obrt, zadruga) that are eligible have a registered main activity under NKD 56.1 – Activities of restaurants and other food service establishments.
Eligible entities are those registered in accordance with the Rules on the classification and minimum requirements of catering establishments belonging to the groups ‘restaurants’, ‘bars’, ‘catering establishments’ and ‘simple service establishments’ (NN Nos 82/07, 82/09, 75/12, 69/13).
Eligible activities are:
- Investment in energy-efficient tangible assets and the green transition of catering facilities (investment in replacement of professional catering equipment, investment in more energy efficient heating, lighting and RES systems, investment in acquisition of new equipment related to environmental protection and circular economy),
- Investment in digitalisation and improvement of work processes in the provision of catering services (new ICT and audio/video solutions, software),
The minimum aid amount for Measure A is EUR 6 000 and the maximum aid amount is EUR 25 000.
Measure B
Small business entities (j.d.o.o., d.o.o., obrt, zadruga) that are eligible have a registered main activity under NKD 79.1 – Activities of travel agencies and tour operators.
Eligible entities (agencies) are registered in the Central Register (currently the Register of MINTS) in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Tourism Services (OG 130/17, NN 25/19, NN 98/19, NN 42/20, NN 70/21) or have a Decision on fulfilling the conditions for the provision of tourist agency services from the competent state administration office in accordance with the Act (OG 68/07, NN 88/10, NN 30/14, NN 152,14).
Eligible activities are:
- Investing in the green transition of the provision of agency services (procurement of equipment for the realization of packages including equipment/programme for persons with disabilities),
- Investing in digitalisation and improving agency services (new ICT and audio/video solutions, software).
The minimum aid amount for Measure B is EUR 4 000 and the maximum aid amount is EUR 8 000.
Measure C
Small business entities (j.d.o.o., d.o.o., obrt, zadruga) that are eligible have a registered main activity according to NKD 50.10. – Maritime and coastal passenger transport.
Eligible entities are the existing cruise vessels registered in accordance with the Ordinance on the types of nautical tourism vessels, Nautical cruise vessels (OG 68/19).
An activity is eligible:
- Investing in the green transition of cruise craft (Investment in desalination equipment/device, biochemical waste water treatment plant)
The minimum aid amount for Measure C is EUR 6 000 and the maximum aid amount is EUR 20,000.
Aid intensity
Funding is foreseen for the implementation of the programme in the total amount of EUR 2 654 455, and the aid intensity is up to 70% the total eligible costs of the project.
How to submit an application
Applications must be submitted by May 5, 2023., to be submitted exclusively online through the portal eTourism, and the application can only be completed by a person who has the authority to represent the entity in the eCitizens system (FINA e-authorisation service), otherwise the application will not be valid.
