Type of competition: Open call for proposals (grants)
Status: open from 23.5.2017 to 24.7.2017
Competent authority: Ministry of Culture
Area: social inclusion, culture
Applicants: local self-government units, regional self-government units, cultural institutions and organisations, civil society organisations
Summary: Older people are often under-involved in community life and, for various reasons, have limited participation in cultural and artistic activities. These reasons can be geographical isolation, unfavourable financial circumstances, disability, etc. Lack of awareness of the need for a specific type of professional development in the field of cultural and artistic education and mediation aimed at the social inclusion of people over the age of 54 further adversely affects the availability of cultural content intended for them. Increased access to such content contributes to their quality of life, activation and greater inclusion in society.
This Call will finance activities for the preparation and implementation of participatory artistic and cultural activities aimed at the social inclusion of persons over the age of 54, as well as professional development activities of artists and cultural workers in the field of cultural and artistic education and mediation aimed at the social inclusion of persons over the age of 54.
The call is implemented under Specific Objective 9i.1 Combating poverty and social exclusion by promoting labour market and social integration of vulnerable groups, and combating all forms of discrimination.
