Hackathon for climate or Climathon is a global movement of cities that see climate change as an opportunity to connect, bring together and work together cities and citizens, researchers, students, designers, developers, creatives and entrepreneurs on innovation and creative solutions that mitigate the challenges of climate change in the city. Become part of a global climate movement that is happening at the same time in more than 140 cities around the world!

After the successful implementation of last year's Climathon in Rijeka, we decided to organize this year's event from 13 to 14 November 2020 in cooperation with the City of Rijeka. We want to increase awareness and knowledge of the concept of ecosystem services and the value of green infrastructure through this hackathon, by sharing experiences and good practices, and by creating strong cooperation in finding common solutions to the common challenges of climate change.

This virtual hackathon will give you the opportunity to present your ideas and win the prize. Feel free to persuade friends, family and neighbors in the neighborhood to sign up! With this challenge, we want to broaden our common understanding of the problem and find a new concept of green infrastructure governance where citizens participate as partners.
