‘COMMERCIALISATION OF INNOVATIONS’

Invitation ’Commercialisation of innovationInvestments will be encouraged micro, small i medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) focused on production of advanced and innovative products and services with high added value;. This Call will stimulate the investments necessary to commercialise innovation and R&D results. Innovative projects with the highest likelihood of commercial success will be encouraged, launching business activities and manufacturing based on applied solutions. The results of the project are market-ready innovations.

Eligible applicants:

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

Eligible actions that can be financed:

• SME innovation to commercialise new innovative products and services
• Process and business organisation innovations of SMEs to commercialise new innovative products and services
• Initial investments in tangible and intangible assets for the sole purpose of carrying out the activities referred to in points 1 and/or 2.
• Aid to SMEs for participation in project-related fairs
• Accompanying activities related to project preparation and implementation (de minimis aid)

*Activities under Nos 1 and 2 may be carried out independently, while activities under No 3 may be carried out independently. , 4 and 5 cannot be carried out on their own, but only together with the activities under Nos 1 and 2.

Grant amount that can be awarded per applicant:

• minimum amount of HRK 760.000,00
• maximum amount of 5,320,000,00 HRK.

Total amount of funds available: 380.000.000,00 HRK

Deadlines and method of submitting project proposals:

Project proposals shall be submitted exclusively eNPOO

• from 20 May 2022 from 11 a.m.
• until the available funds are exhausted for the call, and by 30 June 2023 at the latest

“FREE SUPPORT FOR NEWLY ENTREPRENEURSHIP”

Invitation ’Start-up non-repayable support" will boost growth newly established small and medium-sized businesses (SME) which develop innovation (products and services) knowledge-based or high-tech, which are new or significantly improved compared to market developments. Projects in the pre-commercial phase for the future development and commercialization of products/services, technologies, increase of project-related production capacities and increase of investment readiness of enterprises will be supported.

Eligible applicants:

Newly established SMEs (up to 5 years old)

Eligible actions that can be financed:

• Upgrade, design, performance verification, market or technology validation
• testing, development of pilot lines
• intellectual property protection and external services aimed at developing an innovative idea (products, services or technologies);
• Training users in specific skills for start-ups (for capacity building and investment readiness).

Grant amount that can be awarded per applicant:

• minimum amount 200.000,00 HRK
• maximum amount 1.000.000,00 HRK.

Total amount of funds available: 141.000.000,00 HRK

Deadlines and method of submitting project proposals:

Project proposals are submitted exclusively through the eNPOO system

• from 1 June 2022 at 11 a.m.

Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund will 30 March publish Public call which will legal persons co-finance systems for the use of renewable energy sources.

Who can apply?

Regional and local self-government units, state administration bodies, other budgetary and extra-budgetary users, institutions, cooperatives, companies, craftsmen, family farms, private renters, as well as independent activities and other legal entities (except associations) will be able to apply. This includes, for the first time, managers of multi-apartment buildings, who will be able to apply on behalf of co-owners, and religious communities.

What can I get funds for?

Funds can be obtained for heat pumps, solar thermal collectors, wood chip/pellet or pyrolytic boilers and for integrated photovoltaic power plants for self-consumption in an off-grid or grid facility.
In addition to equipment, the preparation of the main project, one of the mandatory application documents, is also co-financed. 

What is the amount of co-financing?

Applications for this call are available 40, 60 or 80% co-financing, depending on the location where the project is implemented. For the project it is possible to get up to 40% justified cost of production, i.e. up to a maximum of HRK 70,000 per location, and it is possible to retroactively co-finance it, if it is not older than September 24, 2020, from when the Technical Regulation on rational use of energy and thermal protection in buildings started to apply. In order to ensure the quality of the implementation of the planned project, a reasonable cost is also professional supervision, co-financed with up to 40% a reasonable implementation cost, i.e. a maximum of HRK 56,000.00 per location. An individual application may involve the installation of different RES systems in several locations.

How to apply?

Applicants can send their application for co-financing from 31.03.00 to 9.00, either by registered post or in person at the Fund’s reception office at Radnička cesta 80, Zagreb.
Applications will be processed in the order of receipt, until the funds are used up.

Grants for the use of renewable energy sources in family houses will also be available citizens, for which a similar call is expected autumn.

Fifteen contests have been announced. the Rural Development Programme total values $1.3 billion, insured for investments in sectors of strategic importance for Croatian agriculture, offering a wide range of investment opportunities, inter alia, for the particularly sensitive livestock sector.

In this way, funds are provided for:

• pig fattening – $200 million
• construction/reconstruction and equipping of slaughterhouse animal establishments in the dairy cattle sector – 150 million
• Livestock sector – 67 million for the disposal, handling and use of livestock manure
• Strategically significant investments in storage capacities for cereals and oilseeds: $250 million
• investments in basic public irrigation infrastructure – 150 million
• Seed and nursery production – $70 million
• investments in the deployment of renewable energy sources (from the European Union Recovery Instrument (EURI)) – 141 million

These tenders are particularly important in the light of market disturbances caused by rising prices of agricultural inputs, the war in Ukraine and sanctions on Russia, which can further strengthen Croatia's food security.

For farmers in the earthquake-stricken area Three fast-track competitions were created Action 5, the last tender is still ongoing and is worth $100 million.  In addition, a contest worthy of $20 million restoring agricultural potential damaged by natural and natural disasters other than earthquakes. These tenders are open with the aim of ensuring the continuation and sustainability of agricultural production in the area.

In addition, in order to increase efficiency in pre-industrial wood processing, a tender worthy of $147 million, to support local action groups, three tenders with a total value of more than 23 million, as well as the Contest worth 3 million This will support farmers to participate in quality schemes. A tender was also opened for the Measure relating to the conservation, sustainable use and development of genetic resources in agriculture in order to conserve genetic resources and preserve traditional plant and animal species at risk of extinction, for which funds were provided in the amount of $10 million.

Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO) Call for International Collaborative Projects in 2022 the Programme EUREKA encouraging small, medium-sized and large enterprises to cooperate with international partners in launching research and development activities. Partners from Croatia can exercise the right to the most HRK 1.5 million in grants for cooperation projects with international partners.

The objectives of the programme are to:

• encourage companies to invest in R&D activities and thus strengthen their innovation capacity;
• encourage international cooperation between entrepreneurs and scientific research organisations; and
• create the basis for international market placement.

You can apply:

• small, medium-sized and large companies for the development of new products, services or processes
• scientific research institutions (public higher education institutions and public research institutes) may be involved in the project as external contractors, but Cannot participate in the project on their own.
• NOTE: crafts and natural persons are not justified applicants!
