[ANNOUNCEMENT CALL] €3.4 million to boost the competitiveness of the tourism economy

Ministry of Tourism and Sports launched a public call to co-finance projects in intensity up to a maximum of 70% Acceptable costs for restaurateurs, hotels, camps, family farms and boating, which will contribute to raising the competitiveness of the tourism economy through the green and digital transition in tourism.

Eligible applicants

Funds are available Small business operators (non-public companies, crafts and cooperatives) and OPGs (family farms) or PGs (agricultural holdings) registered or to be registered for catering activities at the end of the project activities, and the grant scheme is composed of five measures.

Programme measures

Measure A – HOTELS

It supports investments in energy-efficient material assets and the green transition, as well as digitalisation and improvement of the work processes of existing hotels (Hotel, Hotel Heritage (heritage), Diffuse Hotel, Aparthotel, Tourist Resort, Tourist Apartments, Pension, Spa Hotel Types, Integral Hotel).

  • Minimum aid amount: 10,000€
  • Maximum aid amount: €35,000

Measure B – KAMPOVI

Refers to existing and new campsites (Camp or Camping Resort) in the NUTS 2 region area: Pannonian or Northern Croatia supports investments in energy-efficient tangible assets and the green transition, as well as digitalisation and improvement of work processes.

  • Minimum aid amount: €6,000
  • Maximum aid amount: €25,000

Measure C – RESTORANI

It refers to investments in energy-efficient tangible assets and the green transition, as well as the digitalisation and improvement of the work processes of existing year-round catering establishments that have a valid solution from the "RESTORANI" group, namely: Restaurant, Inn, Bistro or Pastry shop.

  • Minimum aid amount: €6,000
  • Maximum aid amount: €25,000

Measure D – OPG/AGRICULTURE

It supports investments by family farms – family farms and PG – farmers in new wine-cellars or tasting rooms, as well as digitalisation and e-fillers for family farms or PGs that have a solution for catering services.

  • Minimum aid amount: 5,000€
  • Maximum aid amount: €15,000

Measure E – PLANNING OBJECTIVES OF NAUTIC TOURISM

It refers to investments in existing boating facilities for excursions that are registered in accordance with the Ordinance on the types of boating facilities of nautical tourism and investments in vessels intended for renting with or without crew and providing accommodation services for guests on board (charter vessels).

  • Minimum aid amount: 5,000€
  • Maximum aid amount: €15,000

[OPTIONAL CALL] Erasmus+ 2024

European Commission published a call for proposals for the programme; Erasmus+ 2024 It encourages all interested parties to actively participate and present their projects that will contribute to innovation and the development of education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

For funding under Erasmus+ All public and private bodies active in the fields of education, training, youth and sport can apply.

The call includes the following activities:

1. Key Action 1 (KA1) – Learning Mobility for Individuals

  • Learning mobility for individuals in the fields of education, training and youth
  • Youth participation activities
  • DiscoverEU - Inclusion activities
  • Virtual exchanges in higher education and among young people
  • Mobility of staff in the field of sport

[OPTIONAL CALL] Grants for the organisation of events in the city of Rijeka in 2024

City of Rijeka has published a public call for grants for the organisation of events in the city of Rijeka in 2024 from the General Programme of Measures to Encourage the Development of Entrepreneurship in the City of Rijeka.

Subject of the call

Award of grants from the City of Rijeka for events that contribute to:

  • the promotion and development of the Rijeka economy, entrepreneurship and crafts and the investment potential of the Rijeka area;
  • promotion and development of tourism, especially congress, nautical, health, eno-gastro and other selective forms of tourism

Eligible events

The funding will be granted for the organisation and realisation of:

  • economic events, congresses, fairs and fair events in the territory of the city of Rijeka;
  • Eno - gastronomic events in the area of the city of Rijeka;
  • other events in the area of the city of Rijeka that aim to promote entrepreneurship and the development of Rijeka as a tourist destination.

Eligible partners

Eligible applicants are economic operators, regardless of their size, which are exclusively privately owned, having their registered office in the Republic of Croatia.

Financial allocation

The total planned value of the Public Call is €40,000.00.

The funds are intended to co-finance the costs of procurement of goods and services for the immediate realization of events, namely:

  • rental of equipment (audio and visual technique, stage, etc.);
  • procurement of work/consumables related to the organisation of the event;
  • remuneration (on the basis of contracts) of contractors and other contractors;
  • rental/lease/concession fee for the event venue;
  • accommodation and travel expenses for contractors and contractors;
  • lease of media space (press advertising, radio, outdoor advertising, online advertising);
  • production of promotional materials for the event;
  • administrative – accounting costs;
  • other dependent costs of organising events deemed justified by the City of Rijeka.

SME Fund 2024 grant applications open

From 22 January to 6 December 2024 – applications are open for grants to protect intellectual property for small and medium-sized enterprises – under the the Small and Medium Enterprises Fund.

SME Fund, implemented at the initiative of the European Commission European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the grant scheme is designed to help EU small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) protect their intellectual property rights (IP).

The total funding for 2024 is €20 million, available throughout the year on a first-come, first-served basis. Companies can apply for one or more vouchers at the same time or as part of subsequent applications. There are 4 vouchers available:

  • Voucher 1 for the costs of the IP Scan service (testing the potential of the company’s intellectual property);
  • Voucher 2. for the costs of registering a trade mark and industrial design through national, regional, European and international protection systems;
  • Voucher 3. for national or regional patent application costs, state-of-the-art search services and legal representation costs for drawing up and filing a European patent application;
  • Voucher 4. for the costs of registering plant variety protection at European Union level – online registration and examination costs.
