European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2019

The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts has published the European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2019 (EEPA 2019), which is available at:  https://gospodarstvo.gov.hr/ . The European Enterprise Promotion Award is an award by which the European Commission annually rewards projects/initiatives that, with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurship and the development of a small economy, are carried out by public bodies alone or in a public-private partnership with entrepreneurs.

 

This award was launched in order to open up new opportunities for the local and regional level through examples of best policies and practices with the aim of developing entrepreneurship, employment and keeping the population in their environment.

 

Since 2006, the EEPA has rewarded excellence in promoting entrepreneurship and small businesses at national, regional and local level. Since then, through projects competing at the EU level, the establishment of over 10,000 new companies has been encouraged.

 

We hereby invite you to apply, in order to select two excellent projects at the national level that will represent Croatia in this competition and at the Winners' Award Ceremony, the EEPA 2019 will be awarded to the winners in each of the six categories and additionally, the Grand Jury Prize to the Main Winner or the candidate whose project, from any of the six categories, has been rated as the most creative and stimulating for the promotion of entrepreneurship and small business in Europe.

 

All candidates nominated for the EEPA 2019 award by their countries will be invited to the Winners' Award Ceremony, which will be held on 26 November 2019 in Graz, Austria.

 

The national competition is open until 24 May 2019 of the year. The application is submitted in Croatian language, electronically.

 

The competition is open to:

– National organisations

– Cities and municipalities

– Regions and Communities

– Public-private partnerships between public authorities and entrepreneurs

– Educational programmes

– Business organisations

 

With their initiatives/projects, candidates are competing for the EEPA 2018 award in one of a total of six categories of competition:

  1. Promoting entrepreneurial spirit
  2. Investing in entrepreneurial skills
  3. Improving the business environment
  4. Fostering business internationalisation
  5. Supporting the development of green markets and resource efficiency
  6. Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship

 

Applications must relate to recent projects/initiatives that have been successfully completed and have lasted for at least two years, or existing projects/initiatives that are still ongoing but are being successfully implemented, and their result/impact on the development of e.g. a city/municipality over a period of two years is measurable.
