Summary: The Ministry of Health is launching a call for project proposals in a restricted grant award procedure entitled ‘Specialist training of medical doctors’.
The call for proposals ‘Specialisation of Doctors of Medicine’ will improve access to health care services by financing specialist training of doctors of medicine at the primary level of health care (family medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology and obstetrics, and clinical radiology) in less attractive and deprived areas and emergency medicine in the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
Eligible applicants: Health centres and emergency medicine institutes of regional self-government units referred to in the Decision on the financing of specialist training projects for activities eligible for funding from the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme "Efficient Human Resources" for the period 2014-2017. 20-2020 (28 April 2017) and the Decision supplementing the Decision on the financing of specialist training projects for activities eligible for funding from the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme "Efficient Human Resources" for the period 2014-2017. 20-2020 (12 May 2017)
Total allocation: 187.000.000,00 HRK
Purpose of the call: The purpose of this operation is to improve access to health care in less attractive, rural and underdeveloped areas by providing a sufficient number of specialists in certain medical activities that have proven to be deficient in these areas, thereby reducing the referral of patients by healthcare providers at the primary level to higher levels, to hospitals, and at the same time ensuring greater efficiency in the provision of health care services at the primary level.
