The Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds has published a Public Call for co-financing the implementation of EU projects at regional and local level in 2023 according to the Programme for co-financing the implementation of EU projects at regional and local level.

The Programme funds are non-refundable and earmarked, and are directed to co-finance the implementation of EU projects at regional and local level to beneficiaries who have signed a Grant Agreement from EU funds for the programming period 2014-2020 and projects financed under the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme, and EEA and Kingdom of Norway Financial Mechanisms in the period 2014-2021, if they do not have an approved completed report on the EU project by the date of publication of this Public Call.

The total available amount of funds allocated in the public call procedure is EUR 50 000 000.00.

The following may apply for the use of the Programme funds:

• local and regional self-government units,
• legal persons in majority ownership or co-ownership of local and regional self-government units (only for their own name and for their own account), and
• institutions whose founders are local and regional self-government units.

Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets Public call for energy renovation of public sector buildings.

I can apply to the call local and regional self-government units and public institutions, local communities or associations who are engaged in a social activity.

Lowest amount the grant for financing an individual project proposal is 20.000 €, and tallest climbs to €8 million.

The amount of co-financing depends on the depth of the renovation. Integral energy renovation will be co-financed up to 60 percent, and deep and comprehensive renovation (which includes anti-seismic and fire protection measures) up to 80 percent for surveillance works and services.

The call will co-finance the energy renovation of existing public sector buildings, undamaged in the earthquake, predominantly owned by the public sector, in which social activities are carried out, while respecting the importance of the public interest of health and educational buildings and buildings owned and used by the central government.

In addition to the preparation of certificates and projects, the Ministry of Construction co-finances energy renovation measures that include thermal protection of the envelope, new joinery, roofing, renewable energy systems and many others, such as charging stations for electric scooters and bicycles.

• The main condition for applying is that the achieved savings after renovation must be at least 50 percent of thermal energy and 30 percent of primary energy.
